  "Children of the King" (1940-42)

  at a time of great persecution of jw in street of usa, rutherford launched his "children of the king" campaign and incitated jw children to do more door to door evangelisation.

  consequentlly during this year "consolation" published a lot of photo of jw's children in the street.. see some of them here.. bye.

  I know that the WTBTS frown on this sort of thing, but it's obvious it still happens.

  It just surprised me to see pics online of anything other than a District Convention.

  Does anyone know if the WTBTS investigate this sort of thing? If so, what is the likely outcome ?

  ' previously, this journal has explained that in the first century, "this generation" mentioned at matthew 24:34 meant "the contemporaneous generation of unbelieving jews.

  Cultswatter, prior to 1995, there was another teaching in 1927 which stated that the generation consisted of "the anointed".

  i am wondering if anyone knows if there is an assembly in ireland around the end of this year to beginning of next year?.

  can anyone else also supply me "our kingdom ministry" for dates of assemblies in uk.. i'm not planning to cause trouble at these gatherings.

  it's just that i have a court order which prevents my child from being taken to these things and i need evidence to stop the mother and stepfather forcing my child to go against his wishes.. the mother and stepfather don't tell him of course and keep it a secret right until the last minute.

  It would appear assemblies would be announced within the meetings. I think I rather walk around the border of ireland waving a union jackflag in my underwear than go to meetings.

  Normally they will invite you by stuffing an invite through your door.

  ...but for a group that have "public meetings", there is a lot that goes on behind closed doors (for example the new "members only" Watchtower).

  A good thing to do would be to start a thread here titled "Ireland Conventions" or similar it may get more people's attention.

  I have found out where they were in 2003 - chances are that the location is the same :

  Ireland (usually July)
  National Show Centre, Cloghran, Swords, County Dublin

  Help? Bible question

  i was asked today to explain this verse, a man at lunch said i have been told you are knowledgeable of the bible.

  he asked me to read ezekiel 20:25 which say's "wherefore i gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live".

  he asked how could we know if what is in the bible is good.

  The CEV (oops formatting) may shed some more light on it. I guess that alludes to the fact that the Law was there to get people to understand that they weren't perfect.
