  profit making organisation?

  i've been reading many slanderous things about the jw's - can anyone give me a reason why a)it would be called a profit making organisation - exactly who is profiting?

  and b)if it is so wrong, brainwashing the millions, then who is at the top, benefiting from deceiving all these millions of people?

  can anyone out there can help me answer these questions?

  Thanks for the response guys - very informative. I didn't realise that they have a non-disclosure policy. I just think about my Mum feeling it her godly duty to put money in to the contribution box each week even though she realistically couldnt afford to. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, they're raking it in! Interesting.
