  if im honest, i was a good boy, a pioneer, a bethelite.

  still i guessed at my hours based on a last minute tot up in the hall, and of course... i never rounded down.

  i cant be the only one that did this, infact i know i wasnt.

  Well i finally did it.........i got my nose pierced, and it felt soooo good

  i also got my ears pierced again, so now i have three on one side and four on the other.. i just wanted to share that with you all..

  Neat thing happened last nite...

  my wife and i celebrated our anniversary last nite.

  we were gonna go out to dinner, just the two of us, and leave our sons home with a pizza.

  they are both in band at school, and my oldest just joined the school's jazz band last week (he plays clarinet and tenor saxophone.

  i asked my dad not too long ago.."just how many things do we have to be wrong about before you start to wonder if we really have the truth?

  " he said he had kind of thought about that and we talked about whether being wrong about so many things in the past meant we were teaching falsehoods...just like we condemn every other religion of.

  so i have really made him think about the sept km about only using wt literature (he had this part).

  in time, slowly and inevitably, a lot of jws will realise that they have been conned.

  they may deny it at first but eventually a substantial amount will discover that they have lost their lives, their talents and their potential to of all things, a book publishing company!.

  so, what will their reactions be?

  I too can't see any change coming soon - as has been pointed out people have invested thier lives in this and don't want to throw that all away. You all know how hard it was to do and the shear dread of thinking that all these "friends" you had made over the years would no longer have anything to do with you and how were you going to go about making friends with people in the "world" whan you have nothing in common with them...

  I remember the fear and know it was all worth it but many are just not strong enough to take that step they have invested too much.

  i wasn't sure where to post my introduction but here i am!

  my name is melissa, i'm 29, a mother of 2 boys ages 9(10 in dec) and 14 months, i've been married to my dh for 10 years.. i was raised as a jw from the age of 4 and fell out of the religion around 18...almost went back at 19(went to a couple meetings).

  i was just looking for other ex jw's that can relate to me.

  Welcome! I was a jw until i was in my 20's my hubby doesn't really get it either - unless you were in it or married to a dub it is hard to understand how a religion could have such effects on people who don't even believe any of it anymore!

  does anyone have or know of a "full and complete list of misquotations of the watchtower" if not would anyone like to help compile this list.

  i'm sure that we could find someone who would host an article or paper on this subject.

  i was thinking of a list or paper without any inflamatory wording or language that we could just hand to a jw and they would read without dismissing it as "full of hate" or appostate etc.

  hello everyone, my story is a unique one i suppose but here it goes.,, ever since i was a little boy whenever i would voice my objections about this religion my parents would tell me im making satan happy and that i'm inviting demons into are house by saying and thinking things like this.

  my parents are such religious fanatics that it seems like nothing i do can ever be good enough for them.

  to this day they always claim that they come down hard on me like this because "they're trying to protect me".

  Once I realized the whole thing was a sham, I've had no "experiences" or heard any weird "noises" since, even though I do nothing "theocratic" anymore. Funny how that works, huh. ;-)
