I know what you mean about them growing up too fast! My little baby boy just turned 9!!! It has gone by so fast, but he is the biggest delight in my life! He still lets me cuddle with him and kiss on him (as longs as his buddies aren't around!)
what, in your opinion, is most important thing for a typical jw?
what affects him in his day to day life?
what causes them to make the decisions they do?
LOL megsmomma
I agree it's all about appearance. But In my parents case, they sincerely want to make sure all their actions are favorable with Jehovah. (dad's the PO as well) You definetely won't find two more people that walk the straight line.

the whole trevorgate thing... and danny haszard... whew.
Hey Ritchie...
It's good to hear from you again. Your girlfriend is really pretty and you both look so happy. I wish both a happy future together!
Congratulations on the weight loss. Some may not agree with all of your modifications, but as I've learned through out my own life, You have to make yourself happy and just do what is right for you. It's just too exhausting to try to make everyone else happy and live your life the way they perceive it and then you're the one to end up unhappy!!
i recently saw my jw brother and sil and listened to them talk about poor sister sick(o) who has been diagnosed with major mental problems.
she went to the doctor's and the doctor supposedly began to berate her out of the blue because she is a jehovah's witness.
now the family wants to have the doctor formally rebuked for his so called "discriminatory comments".
I really enjoy the freedom of my life and not feeling guilty or having to watch every step I take!
Have "worldly" friendships that are true friendships
In regards to it being the "truth", if it actually was Jehovah's true organization, you would think that they would get more things right instead of constantly changing doctrine and just blowing it off as "new light". I actually hate that term "new light"..It always made me gag!
hey everybody..it's been a while since i've had a chance to post.
hope all is okay.... some of you may or may not remember from my earlier post that i had breast cancer last year and went through chemo.
well, my kidneys have been slowly failing since i was 17 and they got worse a few months after i had my son.
Thanks everybody for you input..I really appreciate it!!
Iwillbedubbednomore...I'm glad things finally worked out for you. I hate you had to go through all of that for such a long time! One question I do have for you is with the bags you changed, how did you hide that in your clothes? Or, am I not understanding enough about that option?

Some of you may or may not remember from my earlier post that I had breast cancer last year and went through chemo. Well, My kidneys have been slowly failing since I was 17 and they got worse a few months after I had my son. I just found out last week that I may need to go ahead and start dialysis. I've gone over the info that the doctor has given me and have even looked over the internet, but it still helps to be able to talk too and hear suggestions from ones that have acutally gone through it. Any suggestions you would have regarding which treatment option and your experiences and side effects would be greatly appreciated!! I go next week to a training course to let the doctors know what option I'm choosing.
Thanks so much!!

Thanks Purps for donating & being a sponser!
or are you still grossly affected because you were once a jw?
I think anyone that was born into the religion or raised as a JW, never actually will feel 100% "normal". Reason being, alot of us have family that is still in and we are the outsiders, so there is no "normal" family functions or gatherings. When you see old friends that you have had in the past & grew up with, you are shunned & they act as if they don't know you. So for many of us our lives have really only begun after leaving the org and we have to take it from that point on, but your past as a JW and all that comes with it never leaves you! It will be 6 years next month since I've left and it still affects me one way or another...
