I agree with Changling & Juni....I think what may have started out as harmless, just got way out of control for him to stop and admit that he had been lying. He obviously has some serious issues he needs to deal with. We all screw up in lives though at some point and need a fresh start.

I just received a LOVELy letter from Trevor
by mouthy inin answer to the one i sent him..i had sent him some christian tracts .which he admits he has little use for spiritual things ( which i can understand bless him) but he did say he wouldnt throw them away one day maybe!!!.
he said that he agreed with me that an apology is truly in order ,& wanted to take this time & the opportunity to offer an unreserved apology for his conduct on jwd,of which he is both ashamed & embarrassed to everyone there /\....he also added he wished you all a very happy christmas.. .
he added that he has not been on jwd since ....thought i would let you all know.. so any who do pray .

How Have You Gone About Making Friends Since Leaving the Witnesses ?
by flipper ini've noticed lately that some on our board, or perhaps for many of us, that's why i'm writing this , have had a challenge making new friends after leaving the jehovah's witnesses religion.
it has been a mixed bag for me.
i have met some through my wife, who is not a witness.

This was hard for me since I only had a handful of "worldly" friend before I left at age 25. Most of my friends have been through my now husband. I work in the insurance industry so I'm always meeting new people and gaining friendships. I also coach cheerleading for our local optimist club and by being involved in my son's sports and his karate. I couldn't ask for better friends that what I have now, it is unconditional love & support from all of them!

I didn't go to the hall I was assigned so it took about 15 miles one way. There is one about 4 miles from me now.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hate that your friend felt that was her only way out of what she was dealing with and she couldn't get the help she needed. It's so sad of what an emotional toll the organization can put on a person.

Recipes for Pig Tails
by snowbird inwhen i was a child, my mother used to cook pig tails a lot.. she would stew them down in onions, peppers, and other spices.
then she would dust them lightly with flour and brown them in the oven.
they were simply delicious.. i haven't had any for a while now due to blood pressure problems.

John Doe listed the link I was referring to snowbird...
I'm from the south, but have never heard of anyone eating these. Don't think I could even stomach the idea of eating such...

This makes me nauseous; but this is what I found....
go to allrecipes.com and search pig tails and it will bring up a southern recipe.

I'm so happy for you...
They are so beautiful and each year we add something different to ours. This will be my 3rd year with a tree. This first year celebrating was a little scary, but now I go all out!!
