When I was a child, my mother used to cook pig tails a lot.

She would stew them down in onions, peppers, and other spices. Then she would dust them lightly with flour and brown them in the oven. They were simply delicious.

I haven't had any for a while now due to blood pressure problems. Does anyone have or know of any recipes for preparing them so they won't send my bp thru the roof? Thanks.

That sounds a little like your favorite exotic food. ;-)

    I'm serious.

The cold weather is coming on and I'm in need of comfort food.

None of the cookbooks (not even soul food) make mention of them.

This makes me nauseous; but this is what I found....

go to allrecipes.com and search pig tails and it will bring up a southern recipe.

A pair of razorbacksA pair of razorbacks

Pig or pork tails are those curly things on the rear end of a pig or hog.

    Trust me, they are delicious.

    Those pictured are razorbacks.

Ah, I see. I though it might be something like "pigs in a blanket." Those are hot dogs wrapped in dough and baked.

Couldn't find it, Babygirl75. Why does it make you nauseous? Girl, you don't know what's good!

I know about those sacrilegious things. My daughter makes them all the time for her kids. I wouldn't touch them; they might be unclean.
