I have a really sweet hubby that spoils me all year long, so there's nothing I really need or want that I haven't gotten...
We've decided to go on another cruise with our little boy as our present to each other. Other than that, I'm just going to spoil my son. He's 9 this year so of course has a list a mile long!!

Speaking of "superman" It's amazing how many schools & optimist clubs around here were using that song for football games & half time routines without knowing what the song meant!! They must of gotten a clue, cause now they've banned the song.

katie kitten (louise) text me last night at 11.30pm to tell me to tell you all she's had a litter of one.
a little boy, josef jack, 8lb 14oz, born 5.55am on nov 15th.. she apparently had a long and somewhat rough time of it and is gonna be in hospital a day or two.. i'll be the first to say congratulations.

certain family members or jws can make our lives miserable.. some politicians, we would be happy to see them or at least their terms expire.. certain sports figures, religious leaders, actors, and other types cold be on our "wish list" to get out of our brains.. can you think of anyone that you wouldn't mind ever hearing about again??

This has come up in conversation with my husband. I think the JW's taught that Jesus was raised as a spirit. If this is so, what happened to his body? Also, John 20 speaks of Jesus' physical body with the print of the nails. My husband says that Jesus in heaven still has the holes were the nails were.
i don't understand, why my daugther refuses to come to her home during both thanksgiving and christmas.
we are trying to understand her beliefs, and keep an open mind.
we just want her to come and partake of being with her family....during these family times.
You are considered "worldly" or not one of them, and therefore "bad association". They are encouraged to only associate with other JW's with like faith.

Your daughter is choosing her religion and beliefs of not celebrating the holidays over being with her family. She cannot seperate the two, in thinking that she will be just joing the family and spending time together, she will be viewing it as a celebration of the holiday with the family.
Most of us are on the opposite end of the equation, wanting to be accepted and spend time with our extended families that are JW's and we are the ones shunned.
well, with winter and the holidays almost here, field service is about to pose a whole new set of challenges.
it is going to get colder.
in parts of the world, it is already getting there (in the southern hemisphere, summer is approaching and it will be getting hotter instead).. what now?
I always hated field service, let alone doing it on a holiday. I was always embarrased as a child and felt like we were freaks or fanatics at these peoples doors that are trying to have family time at home, like what we should have been doing! It was espcially hard, when it was someone you knew and went to school with.
