Dirty Field Service Moments
by saywhat29 inhey everybody!.
i thought it would be fun to share some of your nasty/funniest/embarrassing/messed up/dirty field service stories- witnesses get off on driving around and sharing their stories with each other since... they usually have nothing else in common with the people they are driving around in field service with- but field service itself.. and you know i'm right, driving around listening to brother and sister so-and-so tell you about their amazing study.. who will never ever step inside of a kingdum hall in their lives (smart folks i have to say).
so here's one of mine- a favorite:.

I'll never forget this....
My best friend at the time and me went to this one door, it was an old trailer with junk all around it that had a screen door and the other door was pulled open. We knocked and then noticed that the TV was right there with a porn on. Just then a naked man picked around the corner of the door and said can I help you? We then figured out that him and his hand were having quite a good time and we were interupting. I rambled out off something about us there to talk about the bible but could see he was busy and we would come back at a better time! We then took off from there laughing our asses off!!

If you ain't a PIONEER, You ain't SH**!!!
by Open mind inmy loyal-dub wife had a wonderful morning knocking on empty homes earlier this week.
last night she confided in me with an observation.
she has noticed what she perceives to be a "pioneer clique" in our congregation.

I think every hall is guilty of holding pioneers, elders, and bethelites above the regular publisher to a certain degree...
I remember when I was a teen I did pioneer quite often with my best frient up until her and her husband got accepted to Bethel. I then became quick friends with another group of teenagers. I remember going to a teen party (what a joke to call it a party!) and there was this one pompious a-hole of a brother that was there that was a regular pioneer. I had stopped pioneering at that point in my life and he asked me if I was pioneering. I replied, No I'm working full time and making $$$. He made a smart ass remark about me not pioneering and therefore not a good example or good association..or something to that effect, I was half listening to him, and then he said to keep working toward my goals and find favor with Jah or some BS like that...I NEVER PIONEERED AGAIN!!! I hate the arrogant attitude that most pioneers posses.

I went through Breast Cancer last year. I had to have 8 round of chemo. 4 with A/C and 4 with Taxatier. The absolute worst thing I've ever gone through in my life!! I would have my treatments on Friday to have the weekend to recoup but I was fine all weekend until Sunday. Then the body aches would start. On Monday I had to have shots to go along with the Chemo and after the shot I hurt all over so bad that no one could touch me. Even the muscles in my face hurt. I would soak in the hot tub and take muscle relaxers. Carisoprodal is the name of the muscle relaxer that helped me. That seemed to help me sleep and take the edge off the aches. By the time I felt really good again, it was time to have another treatment. I really feel for you right now and know what you are going through. When I first started Chemo, I had long blond hair down to my waist. By day 14 it starting falling out by the hand fulls. I had my hairdresser cut short and donate my hair to locks of love. Within 2 days it was all gone. Never cried so much before!! My hubbie even shaved his head! He's so sweet!! The wigs are irritating as you may have figured out by now. When I had some stubble, I just switched over to a ball cap. It may not have looked the best, but it was much more comfortable and cooler being out in the heat. Make sure to drink lots of liquids to to flush out your system. If I can be of any help to you, feel free to PM me. Best of luck to you!!

Baptized at 12 years of age
by Frequent_Fader_Miles ini recently had a very interesting conversation with an online friend.
she was baptized at 12 years old because her 15-year-old boyfriend was baptized, and she wanted to spend time with him.
pioneering was the only option, so she got baptized.

I was baptized when I was 13. Me & my best friend at the time did it together. It was the cool thing to do and go around the DC with wet hair so everyone would notice that you were dunked! How said is that!!!
I totally agree that a child does not have the maturity nor the understanding on how much of a life altering decision this is or the reprocussions of not living up to the standards of the organization. It should not make any difference if they are able to answer those questions before baptizm. If I would have waited, I probably would not have ever been baptized and would not be in the position I'm in now of being isolated from my family and all the friends I grew up with!

DO YOU THINK THERE'S A CURE FOR CANCER?
by Mary indo you think the scientists, doctors and pharmeceutical companies know of a cure for cancer that they're not telling us?
when you consider the leaps and bounds in medical discoveries that we've made in the last 50 years, it seems incredible that they're still using chemotherapy and radiation as the treatment for cancer.. while i was one of the lucky one who has survived cancer (so far), it's always in the back of my mind that it could return.
we all have friends who died before their time because of this rotten disease, yet the only progress that seems to have been made is that they can now 'detect' it earlier, which of course gives you a much greater chance of survival.. there have been stories of people who have been cured through alternative medicine, yet no one in the medical field seems to be interested in anything other than chemo or radiation.

Mary, I'm glad your a survivor!!
I'm a 10 month Breast Cancer Survivor. I've been through several surgeries and Chemo. The worst thing I've ever had to go through in my life!!!
I'm sure there is a cure out there, but unless you have the $$ or you are a high government official, I doubt we will benefit. My husband has made an excellent point, How many presidents or their wife's have you heard of dying from Cancer???
