Born in or Converted to JW? What are the stats here? and why....

can't everyone just put this one item on their profile before posting.

it seems like most posters have no profile, but this info could help in several ways.

i am just guessing, but it seems like more here were born in.....your thoughts on this?......oompa.

I wrote you all a 200 word life thingy then deleted it!

Here's the bones!

No JWs family in!!

Dad dies me aged 11 with 4 younger siblings!

Mum has a study in her bereaved clubbing mode!

Gran (now lost both kids(dad and brother)) also has a study = 35 yrs and never a meeting so she had it worked out!

Me = left home and all my college friends & neighbourhood friends for good(rarely ever to see any again!)

Married with kid aged19yrs and within 2 or so was JW (studied with exteacher (elder))

I faded within 3/4yrs and supported family (4kids at 26) did a 4yr degree

Kept the income up whilst my ex did her JW thing plus a science degree then a teaching PGCE!

I always was amazed at how she was so keen to do the JW thing till she mooted about going to Africa for 6mnths with some college funding whilst me looks after 4kids and even an island up in Scotland for I dont know how long = Alrighty then = so now my hunch was reality = I was a stooge useful until disposeable! JW s were her escape from something for sure for half a dozen or so times a week whilst I kept house!!

Basically the point of this is how I ended faded but supporting a WT infrastructure with a personal inner-self that had given up on its own existence and life pleasure for the benefit of those around I was responsible for - no matter whether that's how they perceived me or not! That was my reality just as when dad died!

I'm sure lots of faded partners are kept in a similar state of 'body snatchers' comatose at a personal private level when supporting those still active. Ones who stay in at least seem to salvage something of a private enterprise lifestyle wise!

in the us the only increase comes from immigrants.. q (6) what can we do if we cannot move to where the need for kingdom proclaimers is greater?

imitate jesus' attitude toward people.

The bizare thing is that all those I knew of the 'spiritually srong' class who had any social life amongst each other ended up at it together!

So the studies become utterly meaningless unless everyone lives like a nun or a monk which is my JW experience in my private social life = complete $hite cuz I didn't even have a monastery to go singing round the cloisters and liking my own echo!!

How many marriages has the WT busted up?

just been clickin' around the past few weeks.. how many marriages have been ruined by the wt?

how many were doomed from "i do" by the wt.

it seems that love is so conditional, they should add it in the vows-----forsaking all others but not the wt.. and then what about those few whom god (elders) shine on who can get away with adultery and make the other person look guilty?

DID GOD CREATE THE BEST OF ALL POSSIBLE WORLDS???

is this the best of all possible worlds?.

had god created a world in which he invested humans with adherence to inner, god designed morality guidance--wouldn't an obedient (and far better off human race) world not have been "better" than the one we are in?.

free will is only the freedom to screw up.. think about this.. everything man designs is designed to function properly.

A STUNNINGLY simple question about JOHN 3:16 "For God so Loved the world."

the world of mankind had been condemned to death by god's curse in eden!.

god viewed mankind as "dust on the scales".

So do humans who, to establish their own reality use others as select victims, (albeit others who sincerely follow as believers into their crime and sin are duly punished for doing so) escape the intent of their own power and control, by the power and control of preserving a new reality deemed advantageous and more loving for those who survive, justify sacrificing the deluded, misled or deliberately dysfunctioned innocents, for the greater good get applauded for so functioning in gods image, who on a much larger scale appears to establish the slelfsame as his own reality?

So is 'god fed morality', or gods love, simply a deliberate delusion sold all mankind as 'divine' and in fact a subliminal control model for the freedom and behaviour of the powerful and controlling to do as they will using R&F humans as sacrifices for their desires?

personally, i don't think the organization is reformable.

while i was an elder, i tried to be a more moderate voice and as i grew older any harsher attitudes disappaited from within me.

as they say, all the good (and smart) elders have left.

Their basis is:

Imperfect man dis-claiming perfect justice BUT operating it as a reality! (another circular law they have)

So it is fundamentally at fault.

I cannot see where to go from there really without altering fundamentals which would forego control and power.

No clapping or hand show for that one!

My point was about how, though killing seems the ultimate unforgiveable sin/crime, punishable by death or lifelong imprisonment in most societies, humans in positions of power/control utilies the self same actions to realise their desires via the use of others realities who strive to uphold the same values!

And so dysfunction is passed on to their morality/reality whilst those issuing instruction remain distanced from this stark, dark reality!

And all seemingly resting upon some foundation humans like to think of as god and his love?

What we now have however is the chaos of the fussions of the fallout of the 'imputed wrong'!

Which is far more considerable than the initial spark!

We have a chain reaction in motion and no amount of extingishing appears adequate in tackling the mutations of its flames.

And worst of all, the deliverer of the law chooses to be absent the scene it was at for the situation where the spark set flame to creation!

Unless of course none of the above applies?
