nvrgbk, I don't what age you are, but let me say, I have devoted most of my life in assisting people and in my years of experience, people take more than they give. I'm talking from experience not off the shoulder. I still give of myself to this day.
Why not write to me personally.

on this board that subscribe to such.
the questions stated are not for some.

As a Native American Indian, I didn't need the Bible to believe in God. We believe in a Creator and in our Mohawk language we call him "Our maker, one who made us". We call the earth, Mother. Our language has life to it and it is reflected in our personal lives.
Just another view.

Feeling a little sorry for ourselves...
by exwitless inlittle drummer boy and i have struggled our entire married lives in just about every way: financially, emotionally, religiously, you name it.
it's like nothing ever comes easy for us.
just when one sorta good thing happens, something a whole lot worse happens and ruins our optimism.

Yes, you've eliminated one problem the org and it's demanding schedule. Commenting from experience, the world in general is no better, believe me. They are sucking us dry to the bone. Your plight is a common plight and it's discouraging. This system will eventually have two classes of people, the ultra rich and poor. The middle class is on it's way out.
One of the things I've learned in life is," to extract the positive out of negative experiences". The best.

As I have said a number of times, I don't care if people believe in Donald Duck or Bugs Bunny, I beleive in my Creator. My personal experience with humans has not been encouraging. People talk and when the chips are down they are no where to be found to help others.

2007 Masters - anyone watching?
by AK - Jeff intiger woods finished the day with a +3, and when he walked off the 18th, there were a dozen or so in front of him, or had potential to be in front of him.
there was virtually no chance at first glance that he would end up in the final pairing for sunday.
the entire field came back to meet or fall behind him, except the aussie, stuart appleby at +2.

I understand what these fellows are going through. I remember one tournament when a well know local professional golfer walk of the course because the greens were treacherous. It's easy for us to make suggestions, and say, even a child can make that missed shot or putt. Ah, the real world of tough golf tournaments are miles apart from your ordinary week-end golf courses. Listen carefully to the ones who have finshed their round and give their impressions of the course. They tell the true story.
I'm still picking Tiger, experience comes into play.

Would you have married a non JW
by JH inwhen you were a good active jw, would you have considered marrying a non jw or was this completely out of the question..
-

I did and I knew all the scriptures that said, I shouldn't. We lasted almost 44 years until death stepped in. I never had any problems marrying a non-witness.

I feel like bitching! :)
by onacruse inso i laid 1500 sf of sod thursday (approx 2,000 #), and unloaded 1500 # of sand yesterday, and did a whole lot of roto-tilling and raking and dog-turd scooping, not to mention the idiot "helpers" at home depot.. anyway, my poor old body (54 years old) foolishly listened to my 18-year old brain and said (like that little devil on the shoulder): "sure, you can do it, you can do it!!!".
lol.
pain is life, and life is pain.

Count-Down 9: The Meaning of Life
by Amazing ini can recall a number of jw articles talking about the meaning of life - of course that meant doing something the watchtower said would make you happy, like selling magazines door to door .
i love what my oldest son once said: "i don't look for the meaning of life ... rather ... i create my own meaning.
" that is my son.

All people, whether ex-witnesses or not should make it a practice to extract the positive out of negative experiences. Our car batteries have a negative and a positive posts and it gets us to our destination.
