  i have been faded for a long time now and of course my immediate family are in "intervention mode".

  the latest c.o.

  visit in my moms cong stressed the fact that "the end is sooooooooooooooooo close now" - we must do everything for jehovah and his organization before its too late.

  with the talk of everyone trying to cut back and reevaluate their necessities due to the rising cost of products from gas to food, what is the one thing that will never go in your life...a "luxury"item that has wound itself so deeply in your soul you would be incomplete without it?.

  my item is a daily frapuccino, those little devils are so delish that i can't even think of going a day without.

  what i have noticed is that every time i wanted something in my life or tried to go for it, a washtowel or asleep would come out that would explicitly prohibit it.

  it is right here on this board.

  as i am single, with no prospects, and one of the hounders' family has shown strong interest in hosting me, i have more to worry about being recaptured than about getting disfellowshipped (and, since he is the lead hounder, if i write a disassociation letter, there is as good a chance that he will just throw it out and recapture me instead of writing up the s-77 form and sending it in the special blue envelope).

  i've been reading this board for a while, but never posted, but now everything has changed and i have nowhere to go for suggestions- .

  my witness husband (robert7) in december, the night before the assembly, told me that he isn't a witness anymore, doesn't want to be involved anymore, doesn't believe it.

  of course, i'm a good witness, take the kids out in service a few days a week every week... very active in the cong.my first reaction was that "i cant love him if he doesn't love jehovah" and it really looked like we surely would get a divorce in jan/feb.

  Greetings and welcome to the forum. You made a good observation and that is, you did things quickly. Let me first suggest, take things in stride, mind you, it's easier said than done. Now that the news is out, relax and read over the suggestions on this forum. In the event the elders want to meet with you, excuse yourself by saying your not feeling well (which is true) and schedule it for another time. Give no time for an appointment.   as it was just memorial day, let's try to remember what our troops are fighting and dying for - oil.

  but not oil itself; they are fighting and dying for oil profits and that is not the same thing at all!.

  the first gulf war was clearly about oil, saddam invaded kuwait because he wanted their oil and we went to war and pushed him back.

  lately i have noticed very strange activity at my local gas stations that i go to in the vancouver area people are being asked to use the debit/credit cards at the pump.

  the last time i tried to use a debit card to pay gas inside a gas station i got scolded by the cashier, he said "please pay at the pump!!.

  i say gee i guess he is having a bad day or something..... well so i go to anouther gas station - a shell station and the same rhetoric .."please pay at the pump!
