  ultimatum stop the practice of shunning or lose your charity status.

  just curious what would wt do if a government said reform your policy on shunning or you will lose your charity status.

  we will also be monitoring your reforms and there will be consequences if not brought up to our standards.

  As well as shunning they also have a system of " marking" one`s in the congregation who they don`t think is a worthwhile associate .

  This is like a mini shunning by a select few

  How would any one be able to police that attitude .

  Writing my Disassociation letter

  today i am working on writing my disassociation letter.

  i successfully faded a year ago.

  but i feel like i can't keep looking over my shoulder anymore i just need to be completely rid of this cult.. any suggestions on letter and it's content?.

  I have mixed feelings about sending my letter , even though it was twenty years after leaving .

  In one sense it satisfied my belief that I DF them , though in reality they would never read it out like that at the KH.

  Secondly , I tend to agree with bradford`s sentiments , maybe I could have been more effective with former associates .

  I have no family in except for a niece.

  The story of my exit

  i have been lurking here for about 6 months, and being the last day of the year, and ready to start the new one afresh, i want to share the story of our exit from the org.

  i have found the personal experiences of others of immeasurable value, (and its been a while since a good exit story has been posted) that i hope this can be of benefit to at least someone.. .

  my mother became a jehovahs witness when i was about 9 or 10. i remember initially hating all of the new sanctions put on our lives (no birthdays and christmas anymore) but for some reason i soon after joined her in attending the meetings and eventually got baptized at the age of 14. my staunch catholic father converted a couple of years later.

  Thank you for your post , it will be encouraging for many I`m sure .As the saying goes "The world is now your Oyster " whatever that really means ,

  I`m curious about the ARC being the " straw that broke the camels back" so to speak .Are you an Aussie ?

  If not where did you hear about the ARC ?

  I`m just wondering how far reaching this commission goes , has it really got world wide coverage ? on a large scale .?

  It`s excellent news if it has .

  You need to use the pause button so you don`t miss the texts .

  I thought it was pretty good , straight to the point , using there own words / publications etc.

  Show this to anyone still in and they reject it , then your only conclusion could be , they either have there head buried in the sand , there head up there arse , or they are just plain brain dead , or sadly , stupid.

  I would be asking why do they have a Charity Status in the first place ?

  They do no Charity work for the general community at all ?

  Any aid they claim to give is for there own members or family members or persons who they consider are prospective members .

  They do no charity or Aid work for anybody else period.

  How they have got away with this farce for so long anywhere in the world is beyond me.

  Predictions for 2016

  so, it's that time of year again.

  here's a few of my predictions.

  ) no armageddon.

  1.) Vincent Toole ,will be sacked , demoted , as the Lawyer for the WT. Bethel H.Q. Sydney.

  2.) Jehovah`s Witnesses Org. will dig themselves deeper into a hole with the A.R.C. , refusing to accept there recommendations .

  3.) There will be an even greater influx of newbies to sites like this exiting the Borg.

  4.) The 144,000 will become a symbolic number , and never reported again

  5.) The WTB&TS will pocket Billions of Dollars from real estate sales especially in New York .

  6.) They will still be begging for more money in donations etc. and saying they do not solicit for money ?

  7.) Many more child abuse cases around the world will be found in favour of the victims with millions of $$$$ in compensation .

  8.) A significant decrease in membership overall , and baptisms for the year .

  9.) The selling off of many more KH`s around the world to try to balance the books

  10.) The WTB&TS is now on a downhill slide to obscurity where it will never recover from.

  Appointments Of Elders / Ministerial Servants Etc. In Contrast With Those Claiming To Be Of The Anointed .

  according to jw beliefs the anointed / 144000 are going to rule with jc for a thousand years .as kings rev:20;4 .

  i think they , the anointed , would be more important in the scheme of things than an elder or a ministerial servant in any congregation.. yet for the most part , they have no say or any position in any of the congregations in the world , and certainly not if they are female , however heaven accepts female anointed ones.. yet here on earth ,along with there service , elders and ministerial servants , with the holy spirits blessing , are appointed to there position in the congregation.. apparently there is no such scrutiny , guidelines or procedures in place , no holy spirit , or performance of service to determine who is an anointed person , so that any tom dick or harry ,mary jane or joan can claim to be an anointed person and it is accepted by the watchtower organization .. .

  can you imagine every male claiming to be an elder in a congregation if you use the same guideline/ leeway that is given to the anointed ?.

  Surely sooner or later they will have to say the 144,000 are a symbolic number , we all know they are slow learners coming to grips with obvious changes that have to be made .

  Is Watchtower Really A Real Estate Business?

  i told a still in dubya that the wt was now officially in the real estate buisness.. they looked at me like i had grown a second head.

  so i showed them a web site, which they loudly proclaimed to be "apostate".

  then i showed them the rest of the web site and asked how long the official jay dubya dot org web site was aligned with an "apostate" web site.. i hate to link that site but as it is somewhat covered up by the dubya's and it may be of some use in making someone think about the money grabs, and the constant begging for more money from those who have little of it for the necessities of life i do so here.

  And they claim to be a not for profit Religious organization with tax free charitable status ?

  The relative Authourities should take a closer look at this excuse for a religion .

  It just shows , your example that is , how indoctrinated , blind to reality ,people can be when they are brainwashed .

  That reminds me of a C.O. at a convention who said that our brains needed to be washed , and everyone applauded .

  How do you get through to people like that ?

  i just saw a commercial for a new movie coming out.

  spotlight - about a newspaper exposing the cover-ups of the catholic church about child sexual abuse.

  I highly recommend this movie also ,surprising how much like the Catholic Church Jehovah`s Witnesses are in covering up and refusing to put the victims of abuse as there main priority and concern above there own image.
