  this is a very deep, complicated article.

  that said it offers great hope for finding effective treaments for parkinsons, alzheimers, lou gerhrig's disease and huntington's.. it concerns autophagy - an internal housekeeping system used by cells to get rid of defective proteins.. more than the above, it could lead to a cure for aging itself!.

  stillin , Skedaddle ,nonjwspouse , I thank you for your thoughts and suggestions .

  My wife is still under observation in hospital , and has been told she is not mad , not phsycotic ,or even having hallucinations in the strict meaning of the word.

  She is having illusions ,her eyes playing tricks with her brain due to complications with her medication for parkinsons disease that they need to sort out.

  Today when I visited her she seemed much more like her old self , so I don`t think she will be in their much longer. She is learning to live with what she is experiencing knowing it`s related to her illness.

  Once again thank you for your concern guys.

  royal commission hosts criminal justice public roundtablesthe royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse is holding a series of public roundtables in april to discuss a range of criminal justice issues with invited participants.

  the public roundtables follow march’s public hearing into criminal justice issues.

  royal commission chief executive officer philip reed said the public roundtables will discuss adult sex offender treatment programs, director of public prosecution’s (dpp) oversight and complaint mechanisms and reporting offences.“these roundtables will invite comment and discussion from a range of participants, including police, public prosecutors, criminal justice policy officials, academic and practitioner experts and others,” mr reed said.“consultation through these public roundtables will help inform the royal commission’s criminal justice policy work,” mr reed said.

  I will look forward to watching the webcast.

  Didn`t the W.T. challenge some 70 or so recommendations the ARC suggested ? How would that go down with the commission .?

  And didn`t G.Jackson tell the commission that if Australian states had uniform laws regarding mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse it would make life easier for the organization .?

  Thereby putting the onus on the Australian Govt .and absolving their own responsibility.

  Otherwise known as passing the buck.

  our last conversation was him yelling at me because i "loved the gays".

  translation, i pointed out that nobody chooses their sexuality.

  i've been shunned since daing last september, and really for a year or so after visiting my df'ed brother.

  Lame and werid sample presentations at the meeting

  they used to let bro's and sis's do the sample presentation and give them the leeway to put it in their own words thereby making it more natural.

  not so anymore!

  these days the sample presentations are beamed from mother website.. they seem to have been written by someone who has no experience of how people talk in real life.

  I`m really pissed off with reports like these that give false hope to people who have these , or any other type of disease , and in this case 7 years later we are still no closer to be able to say we have a cure.

  It`s cruel., and yet it seems to happen all the time.

  My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson`s over 10 years ago , and since yesterday she is in hospital for the next week while they monitor her condition .

  The medication she was on was changed , then went back to her original tablets and she is now worse than she ever was.

  Anxiety , depression ,hallucinations are just some of the symptoms , apart from the physical symptoms one can experience , as well as the side affects some drugs can have on you.

  So hopefully , they can sort out and properly manage her condition so she can lead a relatively normal life.

  She has never been one to go to doctors unless it`s ABSOLUTELY necessary .

  So yes , media releases that give promises ,false hope to people , in some cases 10 or 15 years or more before anything of the sort even looks like occurring pisses me off greatly.

  so at around the 46 min mark - the are talking to this guy from ukraine who was a zoologist.. he talks about how he was a staunch evolutionist (who wasn't able to prove evolution to himself, by the way).

  then when he studied nature through the lens of evolution - he found that nature contradicted evolution.. his big point came when he said - "imagine emptying a box of letter blocks on a table, and the encyclopedia britannica appears, or could a computer program come by chance.

  so who could dna come by chance.".

  Of course their answer is he had no beginning , he has always existed , which goes against their belief that everything has a beginning no -thing can come from nothing.

  Update on my current life

  i'm visiting this site after few years here and it's feels like coming home!

  just a recap on my past visits here ... i was a confused single jw mom with a 9 year old son in 2011. some friends here sent me soft copies of coc and few other ebooks which gave me the courage and strength to exit from wt society.

  best ever decision i made!
