Where does WT get their money?

i assume they get most of it from cash donations and assets left in wills.

there may also be some income from invested assets.

i guess they get a lot of money from old jws who die childless or with only df'd kids.geographically i assume they get it mostly from a few countries that have many publishers and strong economies.

Doesn`t a lot of their money come straight from the sale of Real Estate that they own ?

Prime real Estate in NYC , Bethels , Branch Offices around the world , Kingdom halls that are built by volunteer labour and then sold off for profit , amalgamation of other KH,`s .

And let`s not forget the wiping of loan arrangements from the table that would have been paid off in a few years or more and then pledging that same amount of money to be paid to W.T. HQ for eternity or Armageddon , whichever comes first.

this is a notice from the shire in which i live .. "signs placed on naturestrips ,roadsides ,and other public land require a permit from the shire which has identified locations in each town where signs can be erected once a permit is granted .. their is a photo of heaps of signs that have been impounded that don`t have a permit.. and i would imagine their is a cost involved in this.. would that be a valid reason , the cost , that i don`t ever see a witnessing cart/trolley in my shire ?.

Did Donald Trump score some winning points with his Foreign Policy speech ?

He is going to put American interests first ? If the allies of the USA don`t pay their own way then they can take the highway ? ( my words not his )

Instead of propping up foreign powers , allies , with massive handouts in aid and Defence,he would put American interests first and foremost to make America great again , and those Country`s that didn`t pay their own way, they could look after themselves.

That was the gist of his speech as I read it.

Does he have a point ?

Google " Crimes committed by Jehovah`s Witnesses" , you will find that every conceivable crime has been committed by Jehovah`s witnesses in good standing , from petty crimes to murder and everything in between .

I once made this comment to an Elder and his reply was that if they did these crimes they were not really Jehovah`s Witnesses .

I replied , by that reasoning their are no Catholics in jails anywhere either.

.....All I got was a blank stare

Would you have done what Adam did?

every religious group know the story of adam & eve.

for me, i understood what they did was wrong but i never felt they were bad people and considering that they never murdered anyone and seemed to live normal lives after being kicked out, i found it hard to accept that they deserved to die forever and that we would be responsible for suffering for their mistakes.

i personally feel like i might have done the same thing adam did when eve offered him the fruit.

If I was Adam I would have gone straight to the tree of life and ate from that , stuff the tree of knowledge of good and bad , that would have become evident living forever. What a dickhead Adam was , I thought he was perfect.

Their are over 40,000 religions professing Christianity , each with their own interpretation of what the Bible means or what it is actually saying .

And for the past 2000 years Jehovah ,Jesus , has remained silent., in spite of what these 40,000+ Religions claim.

And these figures don`t include individuals who claim to have insight as to what the scriptures mean .

when you think about it , in this 21st century of enlightenment , the explosion of information technology in all fields imaginable , yet the majority of humans of all faiths live their lives according to ancient scriptures / writings etc.for a world long past its use by date.. the bible says" faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for " none of the expectations hoped for in the jehovah`s witness religion ever eventuated , and neither has it in any other faith .. faith , of no matter what belief , is the carrot on the end of a stick leading the gullible on , and on , and on .and on.. smiddy.
