what do you guys think?.
are they only some uber religious zealots or do they pursue hidden agendas beyond religiosity?.
Does it really matter if they know what they are doing ?
If they do know what they are doing , they are charlatans , and will eventually come unstuck in time.
If they are truly delusional , believing they are Gods mouthpiece ( which I personally doubt) again , time will bring them unstuck.
Whether the Governing Body Knows what their doing ,
or don`t know what their doing is beside the point.
The fact is they are an American based religion started in the 1800`s claiming to be Gods true people to spread the word , not unlike many other American based religions claiming the same thing.
Have they proved to be Gods chosen people over anyone else ? Have any of their prophetic statements ever come true ?
In over 100 years , of Christ Jesus Rule , what sets them apart from any other religion , that can`t claim a similar thing.
The name JEHOVAH ? that`s been around in Christendom for hundreds of years before JW`s.came on the scene .
I think the GB are on a treadmill they cant get off. They have invested so much time and energy into supporting this religion , they can`t lose face and abandon it .
Pride , arrogance , and stubboness come to mind., refusing to admit they were wrong.

i went to my girlfriends church service last night.
basically it's a pentecostal type church that was started about 2 years ago.
for a church that had started just recently, there must of been a congregation of about 20 members.
I could say you are going from the frying pan into the fire , however it may very well be the other way around ,
you are going from the fire back into the frying pan .
She must be SOME girlfriend.?

a few days ago i read a post of someone who has recently awakened to what the watchtower bible and tract society really is.
in their comments, they stated that they had been accused of "running ahead of jehovah.".
"running ahead of jehovah" was a statement levied at me many times during my convoluted journey through that organization.
I guess Jehovah and/ or the organization have never heard the fact that "The distance between two points is a straight line"
As opposed to tacking

i was visiting with my family and it seems the rc was worse than i thought.
now they all seem to think that "we are so close to the end" and that the "brothers are really preparing us for the gt".
some even saying that soon our message will change to a judgement message for mankind and talking about how we need to improve "everything we do".
WE know the JW religion is a crackpot religion.
If and when they give a final judgement message to the world , EVERYBODY will know they are a crackpot religion.

again, i'm a decade removed from the faith.
i'm catching up now, and can't believe what i'm seeing.. i get that jw leadership faced a dilemma.
there is no intellectual apparatus within the faith.
the video is worth watching too.. http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/80454665/grieving-woman-turns-the-tables-by-doorknocking-jehovahs-witness.
The video`s don`t work
Jehovah`s Witnesses have always targeted the most vulnerable, but then hasn`t every religion ? in one way or another ?

i was speaking to my mom the other day.
she stays in the group to retain a relationship with the rest of our in family.
she told me that she heard from one of my brothers that the reason lett makes all those weird facial gestures has something to do with a stroke or aneurysm when he was a younger man.
a tribunal of religious, if not spiritual, men, whose decision can alter lives, disrupt, no, destroy, families, ruin young lives, create angst, pain, depression, hopelessness, sorrow, despair can be the job for three typically unqualified men known in jw land as the judicial committee.. my first judicial experience as a kid of 18 serving on the jc involved disfellowshipping an elderly sister for apostacy when she would not promise to quit frequenting a neighborhood christian science reading room for personal study.
my second big case involved a baptized 12 year old who allegedly stole a hot wheel from k-mart.
he admitted to nothing, answering every question with "i dunno" and was put on probation, the 60's equivalent of reproof.. in subsequent years, i "served" on committees judging accused adulterers, fornicators, thieves, gamblers, non-providers, taking up boxing, slanderers and yes, apostates, sitting also on so-called appeal committees as well.
It`s not what you know but who you know

i'm thinking of printing a tract with some simple but thought-provoking questions for people to use when jw's come to their doors.
questions from christians.
bible-believing christians appreciate the moral values of jehovah’s witnesses in their communities but have several questions that somehow seem to escape us when we are caught unexpectedly at our doors.
Isn`t their over 40,000 different Christian sects already ?
