today marks 13 years since my wife and i have stepped inside a kingdom hall.
after 29 years full on being a jw and a number of years serving as an elder then as the presiding overseer we pulled the plug.
yes 13 years ago coming home from the first day of a circuit assembly i said to my wife “that’s it i am not going back”.
I think the first time i ever had a doubt was when the Borg tried to distance themselves from 1975 .
The next was when they printed the Revelation Book about the seven trumpets starting with the Cedar Point Ohio convention ? I couldn`t get my head around that one .
I /we never left until 1993 , however with the internet it still took me a few years to shake off the influence the JW religion had over me.

my rant tonight is against the quasi religious apologists that post on this board.
those who at once rail against the jw's then later talk about how "orderly" and "neat" the witnesses are at their conventions.
those who site the benefits of bloodless surgery to some who have the luxury and time to actually make an educated choice, while ignoring the tens of thousands who've died because they happen to be in an accident or succumb to a disease for which there is no other treatment.. i understand the power of cognitive dissonance.
If you have been in or associated with the JW`s for many years , then yes it can take a long time to finally rid yourself of all the garbage that goes with the religion.

gorby has been offline from jwd for some weeks, and it made my situation not better, have had some serious problems with the fading, much pressure, i have nothing new to say, it must be very similar to the situation of many faders here.. so, i had so much pressure, that we have had to change our holiday booking so we are able to visit the convention, due to family reasons, you all know what i mean.. please wish me (and us) much luck for this summer.
it is not my best summer season in life.. this is how i feel:.

If you are going to pursue this tactic , diversify , never use the same e-mail .tactic ,ruse , more than once , otherwise they will flag it and trash it in an instant.And nobody will see it.
You have a better chance of getting into the JW paradise after the big "A" than getting your letter actually read by a GB member.

i whiled away the time today in the wt researching the above question on line.
it seems to me that there is more evidence to say that the account simply depicts the poor nameless child/woman as being toast.
the idea of her going into "tabernacle service" is completely fabricated and has no basis in scripture.
Jehovah`s Witnesses / Bible Scholars ? HAHAHAHAHA , pull the other leg , HAHAHAHA

i pass along this advice as a new topic, to get it past one off comments that may not get as much attention.. i exited the jehovah's witnesses about a decade ago.
like many, my personal situation felt to restrained to act on my impulse and get out quickly.
i took about a year and a half to two years to leave via da.. i empathize with anybody leaving the watchtower who finds it difficult to falsify dedication, interest, and belief in both their personal and public life.

recent experiences on here about cart witnessing when an ex jw engages them in discussion , it`s not long usually before the jw excuses themselves packs up and moves on .. if they really believed they have the "truth" they should be confident enough to win their argument/discussion.and stand their ground.. obviously they aren`t.. if we believe the bible jesus and his apostles never shied away from talking to / engaging in discussions with the jewish religious leaders of the day.?.
not so with jehovah`s witnesses they are instructed not to engage with ex jw`s , people who know what jw`s believe inside out.and can effectively refute their arguments.and point to their failures.. if their faith is that shallow that talking to an ex jw will weaken their own faith , then they really do not have a very strong foundation of their own faith do they.. smiddy.
