  I take my hat off to you eyeuse2badub ,I really hope your wife appreciates your love and devotion ,sadly , it`s a pity she is still under the thumb of the WT umberella , otherwise your lives together could be so much more meaningful and enjoyable without this distraction of religion interfeering with your marriage.

  I hope you both have a happy 50th anniversary in January.

  50 years of being together married or otherwise , is nothing to be sneezed at in this day and age.

  It`s a milestone., you can both hold your head up high.

  this week they finish up a chapter in the "imitate their faith" book about peter.

  they cover the account of jesus walking on water.

  in the story peter also walks on the water out to jesus.

  Was Thomas condemned for his lack of faith ? No he was not . And then of course is the scripture to keep testing if you are in the faith , to do so you must have a degree of doubt , otherwise you would not keep testing .

  The WT /JW religion does not want people to test their faith , to make sure of all things

  Red flags should be going up everywhere in this religion , that it smacks of being a cult.

  Accept everything we say , and obey all that we ask of you ,even if you don`t understand the reason behind it.

  And the gullible lap it all up .

  public information on the financial situation of the watchtower society is limited.

  but what does the information they do publish indicate about their situation?

  I wouldn`t be at all surprised if money isn`t being siphoned off into off-shore bank accounts , and a number of G.B. members, and , or lawyers for the WTB&TS go missing in the very near future,

  Call me cynical , but human nature being what it is , I wouldnt be surprised .

  If what you say is correct sbf , the figures you quote just don`t add up .

  let's be clear: people have the right to like or dislike what they want - that is why the option is there.

  as long as they are not doing it in a malicious way to retaliate or game the system, there is no policing the votes.

  Watching the Rio Olympics? What's your sporting interest?

  i haven`t seen much if anything on the rio olympic games on this forum , i can`t believe their is so little interest in such a sporting event that is televised world wide.. i don`t get to watch everything , but events i do like to see when i can are,track and field ,gymnastics ,swimming , diving ,and their are a few other sports i will watch when they are on , especially if an australian is involved.. how about you ?

  whats your favourite sport to watch ?.

  has the "drug" issue affected your view of the games ?

  Has the "Drug" issue affected your view of the games ? Should repeated offenders have been allowed to participate in the games at all ? Has the Olympic Committee got it wrong in not banning all those with positive drug tests ?

  I`m an Aussie , and so far we haven`t done too bad considering our population. How has your Country fared in medals tally ?

  Are the Olympics living up to their Ideals ? in your opinion ? if not why not ?

  can i please ask people not to repeated signatures on their posts.. i have pm'd a few people directly with the request as i've noticed them but i guess the inevitable "explain why / show it's fair" means i need to make it publicly to all .... everyone's name and avatar is already displayed next to each post made so anything added at the bottom is really superfluous and just reduces readability on smaller devices where screen-real-estate is already at a premium.

  if the layout is redesigned for mobile devices with the poster name at the bottom then it looks kind-of stupid (e.g.

  "said simon - simon ...").

  Weekend visit from JWs.

  had a visit from the jws this week.

  i've lived in this house since 2012 and this is the first time, they have reached me at home - quite the urgent work.. anyway, i was home on saturday morning and around 10am, there was a knock.

  i had a feeling it would be them.

  Anti-witnessing is just like what we were doing when we were witnessing .

  You never know when a seed will sprout.

  You never know when a person is ready to hear TTATT ,persons circumstances change all the time.

  So my philosophy is never miss an opportunity to give an anti-witness
