Any regrets whilst you were in the Org

the biggest regret i have is of 'shunning' persons who were disfellowshipped and for 'marking' ones deemed as bad association.. there's no way i can approach these people to ask them for forgiveness as i've emigrated to another country however, by this post i'd like it to be known..

I regret introducing my then GF/wife to this cult and bringing up my two sons in this poor excuse for a religion , when we all know now that they are/were primarily a Publishing / Real Estate enterprise that used religion to gain suckers.like you and me.

Watching the Rio Olympics? What's your sporting interest?

i haven`t seen much if anything on the rio olympic games on this forum , i can`t believe their is so little interest in such a sporting event that is televised world wide.. i don`t get to watch everything , but events i do like to see when i can are,track and field ,gymnastics ,swimming , diving ,and their are a few other sports i will watch when they are on , especially if an australian is involved.. how about you ?

whats your favourite sport to watch ?.

has the "drug" issue affected your view of the games ?

so i described a cordial conversation with my jw wife and super-duper jw mil last week in which they encouraged me to ‘return to jehovah’.

i told them that i would not be fooled thrice.. later that week we were discussing a fine mutual jw friend, ‘brother x’, that met with a very untimely death.

Surely the courts must have a limit as to how long one can stretch out these proceedings , doesnt that then qualify as an obstruction of justice ?

Interesting how one spokesman for JW`s regarded it as a sin and not a crime.

gen.1:26 "and god went on to say "let us make man in our image according to our likeness.....etc,etc,.. the key words here are "us" and " our" ,he is including other life forms just like him in using plurals.. he did not say " i" will make man in "my" image ,using the singular vernacular.

the same is also noted in gen 3:22 "and jehovah god went on to say " here the man has become like one of " us".

again he is using the plural and not the singlar language clearly showing their were other life forms on an equal footing to him.. also satan via the serpent also knew the difference between good and bad before he tempted eve , showing he was on a par with jehovah god in knowing that fact along with the other gods in heaven.. another scripture that comes to mind is 1 cor.8:5 "........just as their are many gods and many lords,,,".

Swimming of course is a must for me , M Phelps record is never going to be beaten , no way .He is a legend .

Australia has done itself proud , with 20 + million against nations that have as many as 10+ that many more people to draw from .

And of course nations that are far smaller in population to gain a medal , any medal is a monumental achievevment to do so , and they should be so congratulated in doing so .

After the swimming I will be looking forward to the track and field events ,and the marathon ,

My first olympics to watch was the Melbourne Olympicsd in 1956 , which was when television was first introduced in Melbourne.

JW broadcasting and doubts

hi everyone to cut a long story short, ive been away from the meetings for over 10 years.

i recently reconnected with the congregation and started a study.

cant get my head around all the changes and jw broadcasting.

Secondly , and this is not meant to be a personal attack on you , but isn`t their a scripture about a dog returning to it`s vomit ?

After being out for over 10 years , boy , have you got a lot of catching up to do .

My first question is : WTF are you doing studying again? Obviously you never thought too much about it when you agreed to it .The question now is what are you going to do about it. ?

The majority of people on this board would be saying run , run , run , You are only new here, my suggestion is use the search engine at the top of the screen right side to research any topic you are concerned about and you will get all your questions answerd .

I take my hat off to you eyeuse2badub ,I really hope your wife appreciates your love and devotion ,sadly , it`s a pity she is still under the thumb of the WT umberella , otherwise your lives together could be so much more meaningful and enjoyable without this distraction of religion interfeering with your marriage.

I hope you both have a happy 50th anniversary in January.

50 years of being together married or otherwise , is nothing to be sneezed at in this day and age.

It`s a milestone., you can both hold your head up high.

Was Thomas condemned for his lack of faith ? No he was not . And then of course is the scripture to keep testing if you are in the faith , to do so you must have a degree of doubt , otherwise you would not keep testing .
