  "Babylon The Great Has Fallen Gods Kingdom Rules" published in 1963 spoke of the demise of Christendom in 1918-19 ? and it was just a matter of a short time before it went off into destruction ? along with all other false religions ,including Islam .

  If Jesus has been sitting on his Kingly throne since 1914 , he better take his finger out , it`s now 2016 .

  Science the bible and some telling scriptures

  if one reads about god creating the earth with any critical thinking you'll notice that he created vegetation and the trees before the sun.

  another one that i just read about was the stories about the golden calves.

  one story involves the making of a golden calf by aaron and the other is about the golden calves that were set up at bethel and i think dan.

  The sun was the luminary for day , and the Moon was the luminary for night.

  OK the Sun appears to rise every morning about 6` ish and sets about 12 hours later , every day , where I live anyway .

  The Moon ? ugh , ugh ., some daylight hours it is up in the sky all day , so obviously it`s not appearing at night on the other side of the world at all.

  And vise versa , sometimes it just does not appear in the nightime sky where I live at all , simply because it`s up in the daytime sky on the other side of the world

  I don`t live in the Arctic or the Antarctic , I live in the S.E.of Australia.

  No matter where you live you will observe the same thing.

  Question Anointed , If they are too sick or too old to attend the memorial.

  i never encountered this as a elder, but if one that profess to be of the anointed is too ill to attend the.

  the memorial do the brothers take the emblems to the sick??.

  in the baptist church( after leaving the borg) i was assign to take the emblems to the sick and shut in on.

  I`m pretty sure that if someone was in hospital or otherwise through no fault of their own ,unable to attend the memorial ,arrangements were made for them to either observe it or partake of it , depending on what class they came under .

  And I`m going back as far as the 1960`s .That`s my recollection here in Australia.

  so witnesses love using the scripture that says that "narrow and cramped is the road to life, and few are the ones finding it" as proof that they have the truth.

  yes, a small number.. yet they also love boasting about the "increases in numbers coming into the truth" as proof of jehovah's blessing of the society!.

  so, which is it?

  Jehovah`s Witnesses speak out of both sides of their mouth.

  Also , their is a scripture for every occasion .

  On the one hand when it is brought up that the Roman Catholic Church has over 1 Billion members , and Islam has over 1 Billion members , numbers don`t count .

  When they report such an increase in Baptisms in a certain country , it`s an evidence of Jehovah`s blessing.

  On the other hand when decreases are noted around the world in various countries , they will cite the scripture "in the last days the love of the greater number will cool off "

  Remember" Babylon The Great Has Fallen Gods Kingdom Rules" ? many years ago that foretold religion was on it`s last legs and .people were leaving it in droves ?

  Nothing is further from the truth in todays society on a world scale.

  Family contact in terminal illness cases.

  i had not seen my parents for over 15 years since the funeral of my brother and even then no one spoke to me as i was da.

  my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2014 and i was then permitted contact with them.

  i now know the reason that this is allowed.

  Visit From Jehovah's Witnesses

  had two lovely jws (stephen and ruth) visit this morning.

  this was our second study in the last 2 weeks.

  they first knocked on my door (bell is out) 3 weeks ago and i shared my testimony and we arranged to meet last tuesday which we did.. our first study went like this:.

  in the south, texas and louisiana no idea why.. in the bible leprosy is mentioned upwards of 40 times.

  the main reason why leprosy is talked.

  Not only would Jehovah have known about what causes Leprosy , he should have made sure that his "blessed people" under his Theocracy , would not have contracted the disease if he was in fact the " Almighty God" .

  And as you say in Jesus day it was still rampant , why didn`t Jesus cure all of those afflicted with this horrible disease instead of just one person .

  Then again Jesus has been Reigning as King over Jehovah`s Witnesses since 1914 , and during that first 100 years , Elders , MS , R&F members , have all been found guilty of sexual abuse against children in many countries , it doesn`t say much for his rulership does it.

  Just imagine what it will be like in paradise with no secular authorities to deal with them.

  Fidel Castro and the WT

  i am going to engage on a trip to the past and share with you some of the matters that marked the beginning of the jws persecution in cuba.

  you will be surprised that the pattern that was followed is very similar to what happened in other dictatorial countries.. in the cuban case, i am going to surprise you and tell you that like what happened with hitler; the wt was partially responsible for their clash and confrontation with the cuban government.

  during the early 60s the revolution was fighting for survival and they were willing and ready to demolish any perceived enemy to their cause.. a prime example was their war against the catholic church that was the most influential religious entity in the country; it took the supreme leader only a few public discourses to send the vast majority of clergy packing and back to their country, in this case spain.. the jehovah’s witnesses were an insignificant minority but they over estimated their importance and displayed a belligerent attitude, it was known that this was a us based religion and an easy target to connect them with the cia.

  I have read some and skimmed some of this thread , which is very interesting , and will be coming back to it to fill in the blanks

  I find this subject fascinating to say the least .

  Thank you Hecce for starting this thread and providing us with such an insight as to what ocurred during the Castro years.

  And thank you fisherman for adding additional information , with what Hecce has already stated , shedding light on what was happening to Jehovah`s Witnesses in Cuba under Fidel Castro and the culpability of the Governing Body`s part in making life so much harder for Jehovah`s Witnesses in that country during that period.

  You both should get your heads together with a publisher and produce a book about this , you have material with the makings of , if not a best seller , certainly one not very far off it . Seriously. Consider it .
