Are Jehovah`s Witnesses of today, aware, or even care about their early history of the 1800`s ?
by smiddy inin the 1960`s when i was a new convert , a 20 year old , i devoured the book "jehovahs witnesses in the divine purpose" outlining the early history of the restoration of true christianity in the world.it helped to convince me then that this was indeed the true religion......not that i remember much of the details it contained nowadays .. i understand there was a poor attempt to mimic it with the " proclaimers " book a much sanitized version of the early history of the jw religion.
what reputable organization in the world ,secular ,religious or otherwise ,doctors their own early history/ beginnings unless they have something to hide or are ashamed of.. how many jw`s today would know that they were formed as the " international bible students association" in the late 1800`s , or that their first president of that association was none other than w.h.conley ,and not c.t.russell.. does it even matter ?
does anybody really care ?.

JW`s make a big deal about their claim to base their religion on first Century Christianity , however they seem to be very lax when it comes to sharing facts about their modern day movement on the scene in the late 1800`s .
No first Century christians ever identified themselves as Jehovah`s Witnesses , the Jews never ever did, and no other christians ever did until J.F. Rutherford in the 1930`s , even though it was a Spanish Catholic Monk who first coined the name Jehovah , adding vowels to the consonnants of the four Hebrew letters of the tetragrammaton in the13th Century C.E.
So from the13th Century till the 20th century the Catholic religion in their writings about scripture were using the name Jehovah that is seven centuries of using the name Jehovah ,which is inscribed on many churches throughout Europe.....So much for christendom hiding that name.
Much the same can be said about protestant religions during this time , they also used the name on churches and in their writings .
Do you think the average JW today are aware of these facts or even cares about them ? Are they bible students or not ?

If a JW Came To Your Door How Would You Handle It?
by minimus injehovah's witnesses have never come to my door but they have come to my girlfriends door.
i have coached her as to what to say or ask but it appears that they always seem to come when she's not there.
.....just curious would you get into it with a jehovah's witness at your door especially if it was someone you did not know?.

The last time i had a discussion with the JW`s was when I was house sitting in a different state. And I kept the 2 JW`s on the doorstep for over an hour At least it kept them from going to other doors that morning .
The next time I have an opportunity to engage them ,taking a leaf out of Searches post I will ask them to show me in the "New Testament" where it is written that followers of J.C. are to be "witnesses" of Jehovah.?
Their is not one scripture that instructs christians to be a witness to or for Jehovah , whereas their is something like thirty scriptures in the New Testament that admonish christians to bear witness to and for Jesus Christ ,and that it is his name that every knee should bend down to ,on earth in heaven and under the ground ,in other words to worship JC ,not Jehovah.
In fact Jesus Christ never used a personal name for GOD in the New Testament. and nor did anyone else. The tetragrammaton does not exist in the manuscript JW`s base their Bible on in the New Testament.
And not let them deviate from that argument.

I imagine Jehovahs Angels stopped the mouth of these ferocious beasts from devouring true Christians spreading the word of the Watchtower.

Fair comment , you and I and every other human being is what , fore-ordained to be born at a particular location ? on earth ?
Didn`t the WT publications of yesteryear indicate that resurrected ones would be brought back in familiar surroundings ? so as not to freak them out ? being resurrected ? wouldnt freak them out ?
Then again isn`t California the new promised land ?
Shepherdless ,how about tricking your wife into watching on video , Australian governing Body member Geoffrey Jackson answering the question put to him ,by Angus Stewart at the ARC into Child Abuse if Jehovahs Witnesses were the only ones that had the truth. His answer on video for all to see was "that would be presumptuous of me to say that "
Vin Toole on the ARC, when asked "What do you know about theocratic warefare , he stated words to the effect" I have heard that ,however I dont know what it means " He is a practicing JW and a lawyer.
Its all on video.
If the Sexual Child Abuse cases, over 1006, against Jehovahs Witness children are false , apostate lies , why then is a Governing Body member being questioned and lies , under oath ,and a JW lawyer ,also under oath lie to the ARC about what they know .
1006 cases of JC ? equals 3018 Elders who were involved in these investigations , and not one of them contacted The police or child protection agencys in all these years .

Hypothetical: If WTS Reformed...?
by Cold Steel inas i said in the subject line, this is purely hypothetical.
what do you think would happen if the wtbts leaders decided to reboot some of the organization's more controversial practices.
not that they would deny their claims to be jehovah's earthly representatives, nor the key elements of their eschatology; but in administrative outlooks.

The only way the WTB&TS could be reformed is : Jehovah God stepped in and replaced all of the G.B. members with much younger blood.
And even that may not accomplish it.
However , since Jehovah God does not exist ,thats not going to happen , and neither will the JW religion ever be reformed .
Jesus Christ has supposed to be ruling over the Christian Congregations since 1914 , and what has he done / accomplished these past 102 years ,? sweet fuck all , as I see it.

Which Org 'directives' did you blatantly ignore
by Tallon ini remember that we were always encouraged to let everyone at work know that you were one of jw's and therefore would not participate in any of their functions, parties etc.. this i outrightly refused to do.
my reasoning was that i was employed and paid to do a job and therefore my religious beliefs were a personal matter and therefore had nothing to do with my work.
secondly i had to work with these people.

Faith healing?
by Knowsnothing ini haven't been on for quite some time, but i was wondering if you could dispel this for me.

there's also video of him in which a woman claims to have been visually impaired and was healed.

Before you get sucked in to any of these quacks (my personal opinion ) get a sworn statement from a qualified medical Practioner that the person claiming to be healed has in fact the condition they claim they are being healed of.
If you cant verif that the "healed" person has the affliction in the first place , why would you believe them on face value ?
These people prey on the gullible and those who WANT TO BELIEVE.
Con artists thrive on the vulnerability of persons who are looking for quick answers to complex problems.
And Religion is a great money making racket enslaving the bulk of mankind around the world.
Christianity alone has over 40,000 different sects all claiming they have the truth.Think of all the contributions $$$$$$ that each of these sects bring in each week , with hundreds ,thousands and even millions of followers donating their money each week , and that is only Christendoms religions.

Elders have no qualms about advising a spouse to go behind there mates back , tell the Elder concerned that if anything did go wrong in a medical situation with your wife ,he would the first one you would sue ,scare the crap out of him.

What can I say , Jehovahs Witnesses speak out of both sides of their mouth .
Australia : Alex Rance an AFL professional footballer ,unbaptised JW ,married ,debated whether to go full time pioneering or continue his football career ,guess which one he chose . ..and he is in . good standing in JW world .
The Williams sisters , not much more I can say about them except that they have used the social scene, Night clubs ,etc, to their advantage as regular worldly gals , and not D2D witnesses of Jehovah.
George Benson , another high profile muscisian ,celebrity that goes against all that the GB of Jehovahs Witnesses preach ,not to exult yourself in any way or form .
I`m sure you can provide more examples of this double standards
That only belongs to Jehovah....He is still in good standing amongst JW`s and adored by many ( worshipped )
Prince : Lets face it seriously ,,was Prince a model for Jehovahs Witnesses ? An icon in the entertainment world who idolised him ? ....And he was given a memorial at a KH hall ? Seriously ?
Would the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses encourage their young ones to immitate Prince`s example? or would they condemn anybody trying to follow in his footsteps.
It seems like if you have money , influence ,power , or celebrity status ,you can go a long way in Jehovah`s Organization ,......... one set of standards
However if you are just one of the mill , rank and file members ,and heaven forbid , one of the female members of Jehovah`s witnesses , you dont count for anything.
