Do Orthodox Jews reject blood transfusions ? because of the scriptures, they strictly believe ?

this thought occured to me that orthodox jews take the bible/old testament scriptures very seriously regarding the blood issue raised in scripture .. and this is certainly borne out in regard to the bleeding of animals before eating them ,kosher food.. the orthodox jews are far more stricter than jehovah`s witnesses in this application / interpretation of scripture ,and i am curious as to how they interpret and understand these scriptures.. how do they view blood transfusions in the medical world.?.

and is it only the orthodox jews that are expected to only eat kosher food ?

how about the ordinary believing jew with their religion.do they also only eat kosher food ?

i know many on here are atheist.

but for the christians on here...what religion are you now that you are no longer a jw?

i'm still undecided as to whether i believe in god.

Do you realise their are over 40,000 Christian sects in the world today ? 40,000 ,and their has been no God to intervene and point out who is the right one .

Supposedly God dealt with humans before the Christian era on a regular basis ,using Angels , dreams , visions prophets , both male and female ,and really had a good communication with his creation. According to the Hebrew Scriptures known as the Old Testament.

Of course people in those days had no knowledge of modern science , technology , or critical thinking ability.

Dont you think it strange that Jehovah God has changed his approach to communicating with humans ?

To the point of not communicating at all with them ? no Angels ,no dreams , no prophets either male or female ,

and no visions ?

Apparently Holy Spirit never existed in the Old Testament because it never ever led to new light that is used by the WTB&TS today.

So does it ? or even should it matter what Christian religion you are today ? No God has ever sanctioned any of them these past 2000 years , why would you believe he / she is going to do so now,?

Sure as hell got that right

,The Watchtower Society was never ever going to look after their ageing members , their not our problem ,they are not employees of the WTB&TS , they are just volunteers who chose to associate with us on their own convictions .

The Governing Body of Jehovahs Witnesses have no obligation to look after these ones that is their familys obligation not ours.

Shunning ? did JEHOVAH shun Satan ?

i don`t know if this has been addressed before , however it appears there is an inconsistency and a big one at that with the practice of shunning with jw`s.

elders / ministerial servants look out for the spiritual health of the congregation , and if they see something they feel is detrimental to the spiritual health of the congregation they are going to act to rectify it, .

they take appropiate action where they think is necessary .

Wouldnt all of the relevant Government institutions have already looked at these on going Real Estate sales by a not for profit Religious organization , that has a charitable status , with Tax exemptions and wonder where all this money is going ,who is profiteering from it all ,and when does a not for profit organization cease to be a not for profit organization when they are reeking in Millions of dollars in commercial ventures such as Real Estate.?

And how can the WTB&TS be a charitable organization when they do no charitable works to anybody ,including their own members .?

How many legal loopholes can the WTB&TS use to defraud the USA Government of Taxes that are due them before being exposed as Charlatans using religion as a blind.

If Jehovah is our 'father', he would want humankind to independently govern itself

all parents want their children to grow up, mature, and become happily independent.

no normal father or parent would ever want to govern and rule over their children forever.. so if jehovah exists and he is a heavenly 'father' to his human progeny, and if we truly are in his image as his children, then humankind was always destined to govern itself.

if you believe in the biblical narrative, jehovah always intended to let go of his human children and let us rule ourselves when we were ready.

An interesting plausible theory fukitol, however not without its flaws.

On the one hand you assume the creation account in the Bible is true about Adam and Eve ,Satan , and the challenge presented therein .

On the other hand you reject the Bible account of Christ Jesus thousand year reign ,Armageddon , and apparently all that has happened in between .

Just another case of cherry picking what one wants to believe about the Bible ?

I think your post should have stopped at the end of your first four sentences and not brought the Bible into play at all , then it would have been a more credible argument , especially against JW`s. at the door.

Just my 2 cents worth.

i am new to this site, was always told by my elder father if the site accidentally appeared on the comp screen it was satans doing.

anyways, i am 28 y/m who had the unfortunate life of being the last of three kids to be born ins.

my oldest sibling lasted about 8 years before she was d,f.

Catholic Approach to Scripture: How It Made Me Leave the Jehovah's Witnesses

indoctrinated into all things watchtower, i once believed the bible was true history, that evolution was false and evil, and that the bible could be trusted to be reliable when it touched on science issues.

then i got introduced to the official catholic bible translation of u.s. catholics, the new american bible revised edition (or nabre--not to be confused with the protestant nasv or new american standard version) and things changed.

i was shocked to learn that the nabre teaches.... the creation and flood stories of genesis are jewish adaptations of mesopotamian heathen creation-flood mythology, not history.

Jehovahs Witnesses adopted the name "Jehovah" Catholics gave to the Old Testament God in the 13th Century. Even though they admitted it was not the correct pronunciation in the 1st Edition of the "Aid" book.

The only reason they used it was because of its popularity among christians { Catholics} and protestant churches.

Jehovahs Witnesses belittled Catholics for scaring their flock with the threat of Hell fire.

Jehovahs Witnesses threaten their members with eternal destruction at Armageddon

Jehovahs Witnesses belittled Catholics for their method of obtaining contributions from their flock mainly the collection plate .

Jehovahs Witnesses absolve the congregation from their debt for the Kingdom Hall on the one hand and on the other hand they want them to keep paying the same amount owing for the debt forever ?

The first president of the "Watchtower" organization said they would never solicit for money ,if the money didnt come in voluntarily , then that was God saying the time was up .(words to that effect)

Jehovahs Witnesses even want to take money from childrens pocket money { Caleb & Sophia }
