  Why Is YHWH Used Regularly In OT and NEVER in NT?

  and if the name jehovah is that important why is it that jesus christ never use that name in a record of scriptures?.

  The four Hebrew letters that represent God`s name in the Old Testament (hebrew Scriptures ) the tetragrammaton do not appear in the New Testament the Christian Greek Scriptures.

  Nor do any equivalent four letter Greek letters translated from the Hebrew , the Tetragrammaton exist in the New Testament,to represent the name of God. Their just not their.

  Those four consonants , translated in english from Hebrew as either JHVH or YHWH , contained in the Old Testament are their because they exist in the Old Testament Hebrew sources.

  And so the name Jehovah / Yahweh (preferably ) is warranted in the Old Testament .

  But the same cannot be said about that name for God or any other name for God in the new testament.because the source of these texts do not contain those four letters either in Greek or Hebrew to warrant their inclusion in the New Testament,

  Neither Jesus , the Apostles ,nor his disciples ever used the " word" Jehovah in the New testament /Christian Greek Scriptures

  Not one of them ever used that word Jehovah /Yahweh , not one of them.

  Yet in the Christian Greek Scriptures the New Testament plainly states that the name of JESUS is to be "exalted above" every other name in Heaven , on Earth , and under the Earth.

  The Bible clearly shows that followers of Jesdus Christ were by

  " Divine providence " to be called Christians ( not Jehovahs Witnesses )

  That is from the mouth of God., if you put your faith in the Bible.and not a man made organization of the late 1800`s ,when so many religions began.

  It`s all a political stunt , under the guise of relgion

  Satan blames God

  God blames Satan

  The theocratic party

  or

  The Independant thinking Party

  The bible is a campaign book offering both parties point of view

  Who do you want to vote for God or Satan,you have heard both sides of the story , which one is telling the truth or are they both lying just to get your vote.

  Or is one party or the other using half truths to muddy the waters.

  And people are still debating which side won after all these thousands of years .

  .Phil: 2:9 -11,the name of Jesus is to be exalted above every other name ,in heaven and earth and under the earth .(including the name Jehovah)

  Acts 11:26 Followers of Jesus Christ were by Divine Providence called Christians ,take note "by Divine Providence" followers of Jesus were to be called Christians , not Jehovahs Witnesses.

  The name Jehovah in the New Testament does not belong their as the four letters representing the name of God does not appear in the New Testament according to the WTB&TS `s own publication ,the KI of The Christian Greek Scriptures.

  Do a bit more in-depth study my friend.

  This cancer of child sexual abuse seems to be endemic in society , including the most trusted in public service that are supposed to be protecting the young vulnerable in society .

  It seems no wonder little is accomplished when those that are supposed to be protecting our young ones are themselves complicit in abusing these vulnerable children .

  How do we combat this crime when the powers that be are complicit in this crime ?

  Anybody ? have any solutions ?

  we were talking about punishment for sin and so on.

  she believed in hellfire.

  Jehovahs witnesses are prominent in already established "christian " lands , lands that have already been "witnessed" to and converted by christendoms religions ,often centuries before.

  So Jehovahs Witnesses have not opened new grounds for their evangelism /witnessing , they are just following in the footsteps of missionaries that have gone on before them and have laid the groundwork for them .

  They, the JW`s , come along and poach those of christendoms converts from already established christianised nations and then claim they have witnessed to the world .

  When in fact all they have done is changed one brand of christianity to another brand of christianity .

  They have not made any in-roads at all .

  Italy , Brazil , Mexico ,Spain ,Australia ,USA ,UK ,Ireland ,Canada, just to name a few are already christianised countries as a result of christendoms missionaries .

  Where is the phenonemal growth in countries like Bangladesh , Pakistan ,Indonesia, China, India ,Saudia Arabia , Quatar , Phillipines , Jordan , etc,etc,.

  Their is no growth in any of these lands and the majority of inhabitants of these countries have never heard of Jehovh or his witnesses., in fact in many of them they dont even exist.

  i picked up bernard cornwell's the pagan lord at the library.

  historical fiction set in england after the death of alfred the great.

  i'm loving it, especially the between-the-lines wit and sense of timing in cornwell's writing, and the complete badassery of the protagonist.

  As I`ve got older its much easier to watch TV series now than falling asleep after reading a couple of pages of a book

  We have netflix , and we have enjoyed watching a number of mini-series from europe and elswhere , just to mention a few.

  The prisoner ( Israeli )

  Borgen ( Danish )

  Eyewitness ( Norwegiian )

  Homeland ( USA )

  And currently Designated Survivour ( USA )

  House of Cards ( USA )

  The bridge and the tunnell ( british /french )

  I just realised I have become a couch potato , never mind I have now Joined a mens gym at my local health centre to keep me active..

  first time posting after years of reading, the things i have learned here have gradually helped to open my eyes to the reality of this religion.

  though i have been mentally out for some time, lately i have stopped going to meetings and service.

  the elders are calling and i have been ignoring them, i am trying to get up the courage to finally break free and never go back.

  Welcome beardfreedom,true the transition can be a bit daunting for a while adjusting to your fade/exit ,but believe me when you look back on this stage of your life you will say "how did I ever believe it in the first place"

  Elders are big fish in a little pond , you dont owe them anything , and the power they have over you is only the power you give to them.

  They are nobodys trying to be somebody and the religion gives them that egotistical outlook .

  Dont be sucked in by it.

  The longer you are away from the influence of the cult the easier it becomes .

  I wish I was tech savvy , thats excellent pale emperor , their are so many opportunities here if this can be exploited .

  An example Matt 18: 21-22 "Then Peter came up and said to him lord how many times is my brother to sin against me and am I to forgive him ? up to seven times ? Jesus said to him I say to you not up to seven times but up to seventy seven times"

  Does that sound like a judicial committee in a Kingdom hall near you ?

  we all have our own journeys out of the wts and each person has a different trigger point.

  if you watch this video from about the 22 min to 32 min , its something a person cant unseen.. i know the average jw doesnt care about the bible but for the odd one that is sincere, this might be a great seed to plant..

  I found it a very interesting / entertaining video , though I`m not quite sure what to make of it all just now .

  I will need to ponder on it and absorb it all for future comment.

  It certainly gives you food for thought if you take the Bible literally as the word of God.

  For those of us who do not believe the Bible is the word of God directed /sanctioned by him ,it could just mean more examples of contradictions and inconsistencies in the text .

  I look forward to others comments on this video

  .In the meantime I would like to point out a few facts about the name of God in the New Testament.

  Matthew ,Mark,luke,John ,the 4 Apostles , not one of them used the name Jehovah/Yahweh ,the 12 disciples , not one of them ever used the personal name of God ,Jehovah/yahweh .

  Jesus Christ never in the New Testament used the personal name of God either Jehovah or Yahweh.

  The kingdom Interlinear of The Christian Greek Scriptures published by the WTB&TS , a word for word translation of the Greek into English does not contain the tetragrammaton , the 4 hebrew letters representing Gods name in the Old Testament .

  Usually represented as JHVH ,but more accurately , YHWH ,either Jehovah or Yahweh

  So the fact that Jehovahs Witnesses use that name Jehovah in the Christian Greek Scriptures /New Testament are in violation of Deut:4:2 , and 12:32 , ....Rev.22:18

  Words to the effect of anybody adding to these scrolls be accursed .

  Maybe thats why the WTB&TS / Jehovahs Witnesses have never got any of their predictions , prophecys right in over 100 years of claiming to be Gods spokesperson the ,only channell of comunication God is using today.

  been lurking since early this year.

  there are many of us out there (at least in this area, central u.s.) who are waking up and crossing the line to talk to each other about it.

  in our area, several elders, ministerial servants and pioneers are actively and openly sharing info with each other daily.
