so as i announced last week, my wife and i started our fade and i sent in a letter to our body that i was stepping down and cited the arc as the reason and insisted that we not be bothered.
my wife told a few relatives in person that we weren't going to attend meetings any longer (immediate shunning occurred, the new videos must be effective) and that what we found with the arc shocked us etc etc.
i have an inside track on how this is all going down by an awake elder on the body, co told them to handle the matter quickly.
I think " apparent Apostacy" has become so rife in the organization now ,that they are now shooting from the hip and as crazyguy says they will move quick to try to kill the problem.
I also think they are flogging a dead horse , its too late to shut the gate.

How are they moving out to reach ever more people ?
Are they now targeting Islamic religions ? Countries that are non christian religions for a change ? Saudia Arabia ? etc.
How about India , pakistan , Dhubai ,Indonesia ,Jordan ,Iran ,North Korea , mainland China ,just to mention a few.
Jehovahs Witnesses have been operating in the world for over 130 years , they have only made inroads in mainly established christian countrys already paved the way by christendom.centuries before.
What token influence they may have made in a few of these countries nowhere could be by any stretch of the imagination as being given a witness to these countries..
Why ? because it would only be in a small secluded area tolerating freedom of religion which does not extend to the rest of the country.

i have known so many jw youths that were very bright and end up working in a job well below their skill level..she is in the 9th grade but algebra 2 her class is all 11th graders.. school "technical academy hs".
True james what you say , but their is also the guilt ? if thats the right word ? that i have some culpability in where she is today.
However dont get me wrong , she is also responsible for making the choice she did.

The bible shows in many passages God coming to the aid of the Israelites , my question is why wasnt he their all the time ? to defend them ?
The argument that he only defended them when they were faithful as a nation , doesnt hold any water. why ? because when they were faithful he didnt defend them , they still had to rely on their armies to do battle with their enemies with his so called blessing.
So under the theocracy of Jehovahs Rule in the Old Testament when the Israelites were in his favour , the army of the jewish nation engaged in warfare with their enemies , which meant jews killing men women and children by piercing them with a sword at jehovahs command.
Can you imagine yourself participating in such an action today ? Killing a man won or child ? obeying Jehovah ?
Jehovah is God Almighty right ? he has shown that he can kill 185000 in one night , by his Angels ,so why would he need to have his chosen people , human beings involved in putting to death by the sword thousands of people over many centuries ?
As an Almighty God Jehovah he didnt need to involve his chosen people the Israelites in any bloodshed at all , he could have done it like he has done many times before , the fact that he did involve his subjects in this bloodshed raises some serious questions ?

what was it in the evolution of religion that got them so hung up about what people do with their genitalia?.
i mean, the (mis)use of genitalia is up there with murdering another human being in terms of badness.. and in the 21st century, we have a situation where in the jw religion, it's deemed as acceptable for three middle aged/old men to sit a teenage girl down and ask her the details of her use of her genitals.
to any normal person this is intrusive, completely inappropriate and bordering on deviancy.. why they so obsessed?.
ALPD , you make a good point about women should be present in such a JC with a young girl being grilled by the elders,however I dont think brainwashed JW women would of any help in this situation .
If I could make a comparison , it would be like Muslim women speaking out against female circumcission ,many willingly support it for their own daughters, a barbaric practice.
In both cases the women bow down to the men without objection ,as he is to be obeyed.
i go to a hall (very rarely) with a single cong of about 60 people in a small city of maybe 10000. our board of elders is a bunch of childless weirdos or at least the ones that make an effort.. they recently changed the sunday meeting time from 10/12 to 1/ 3. a number of us are pissed off.
its makes to hard to drive to the city or go to a football game.. i just know the gestopo elders behind the change.
if your life isnt as miserable or pointless as theirs, they arent doing their job.
Donkeys years ago the hall I was in had a similar vote and it was about 50/52 in staying the same as we were used to .Not what the elders wanted
The next week the elders held another vote with a similar result .again not what the elders wanted .
The following week the elders had another vote ,myself and a couple of others wern`t able to attend that week .
The result went in favour of the elders to change the meeting times.
We never had another vote after that.
i have always been told as a jw that trinitarians, particularly baptists, are just the worst people to argue with out in service.
i have always been told it was the world with a veil over their eyes.
the hypocritical irony is that so many witnesses are completely stubborn and willing to believe in magic before they believe anything against their dogma.
The very fact that their is still a controversey over this subject after 2000 years doesnt say much for the Almightys ability to convey his communication skills effectively does it.

I have a niece who I encouraged to be a JW along with her sisters and mother , when she was only young.
This niece was very talented in music ,playing the violin and the piano , her school educators wanted her to pursue a career in music by enrolling her in an academy that was prepared to accept her. She refused and chose pioneering ,later married a DH ,JW and she is still living in fantasy land. She used to give solo recitals at concerts while still at school to large audiences.
Her sisters and mother are no longer JW`s and of course niether am I.
I could kick myself for encouraging her on the course she has chosen.
What a waste of talent.

Well you have certainly planted a few seeds whether they take root or not only time will tell .You never know what you said and her own personal experiences she has had and will have , will effect her.
It sounds like a good anti-witness , or a good witness for TTATT.
