by Tenacious inhaving been a jw for decades i'm used to watching what i do, say, or watch, in fear of being snitched on.. therefore, i the question begs.. there have been instances, i won't say how, where i've felt some members are being deliberate in their attempt to feign support for the anti-jw rhetoric on this forum.. any input is greatly appreciated..

Religion, family structure and a successful life.
by SouthCentral inthis morning (12/3/16) on fox and friends ( a news show on the fox network) there was a great news piece.
it featured one of the newscasters and her parents, who happened to be the former governor of utah (jon huntsman).
religion ( the mormon church) has obviously played a large role in their family life.

Their are Jehovahs witnesses who are business people and have had very successful enterprises going despite what the majority of the rank and file JW`s experience .
It has nothing to do with what religion a person belongs to its more like the drive and ambition of the individuals involved.
As one Elder in business said to me ," Religion and Business are two different sides of a coin not to be confused with each other "
In other words Business and Religion are two different worlds that dont mix.
I have been associated with a few JW`s who run their own business some small and two not so small and they all agree

I have watched a number of episodes, though I havent seen that particular one..I like it that the endings are not always happy.
I cant say I liked the one about the PM and the pig ,disturbing.

You dont have to be at war with your parents , if they choose to be at war with you in the future ? then thats their problem and rests on their shoulders

The report in the Bible that a snake talked to a human some 6000 years ago is still a sign for Jehovahs Witnesses the fact that it has never happened since doesnt deter them .

When 2 JWs have the same call...
by schnell inas i was driving past a certain gas station today, i recalled that the family who own it are called on by a friend of mine, and in a territory where it's hard to find interest.
it reminded me of an incident months back when this friend, brother d, discovered that another friend, brother b, was calling on that family too.
hey, gotta make your time.. those two went at it.

When I was doing vacation pioneering and needed to make the required hours/calls i remembered my friends RV so I called on him to gain some more time .
My friend wasnt happy about it at all and let me know it.

Were you aware of the shunning policy when becoming a JW
by UnshackleTheChains infor those who became jws, were you fully aware of the societys cruel shunning policy whilst studying?
i absolutely had no idea such a policy existed until years later.
it really only hit home when reading the horrendous stories on the internet around 2002. .

I had no idea that shunning was practiced and I cant remember when I became aware of it or how it affected me.
