Is this a normal JW practice? Warning, this will be a bit graphic.

this post may be disturbing and i apologize, but i'm just trying to find out if this is a practice the jw teaches.

i was taken advantage of by a guy claiming to be a jw preacher.

he took me to his house supposedly so i could give his daughter piano lessons, and then he basically forced himself on me while telling me he was in love with me and wanted to marry me.

Sequoia has replied to my post saying it happened (then 5 days ago ) she has told a few people close to her and also the police. She hasnt pressed charges and she doesnt even know his last name .And she is 30 years old and she has known him for 18 months. And then she comes out she is disabled .

She says she has a hard time talking about it but comes on to a Discussion forum speaking to a lot of strangers ,opening up about personal details

She hasnt answered questions about what her friends or family have done regarding these allegations nor has she answered questions about what the police have done with her allegations.

Seeing she is disabled surely they would be taking it seriously ?

But even her initial question "Is This Normal JW Practice ?" beggars belief she is genuine

Beardless Jesus. Why?

Appreciating the fact that Rutherford was against beards and the later appearnce of rebels/hippies against western society was attributed to many young people wearing beards coupled with revolutionaries of the 60`s-70`s ,the society came down hard on men wearing beards as if that was what they were supporting.

However what they are overlooking or playing down is the fact that the faithful men of old in the" Old Testament" were instructed by GOD to wear a beard and that it should be well trimmed/groomed.

If GOD ALMIGHTY instructed his male subjects/servants to wear a beard who are humans to go against his wishes ?

Their is no scripture in the New Testament to nullify that decree.

You walk into a "worldly" Church it has a solemn atomosphere , reverence and respect,children are quiet and respectful as they regard it as a "Holy"place.

You walk into a Kingdom Hall and its no different than if you walk into a K-Mart store.noisy adults and undisciplined children running around.

Zeb , if their is an afterlife your attendance would be much more appreciated than any JW who would have attended,

Griffin Assembly Hall (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) now a Megachurch

my mom, while pregnant with me, was one of thousands of jw volunteers to work on the construction of this once beautiful assembly hall in south florida circa 1984. it had a beautiful pond, waterfall, and even a resident alligator.

many remember it as well for it's huge plaster murals on the walls showing scenes of paradises.. pics as it was before (sorry for the low quality, struggled to find good pics of the auditorium as it was, if you have any good ones, do share them):.

The GB /F&DS have no qualms about selling properties bros and sisters have spent countless hours in volunteering free labour to provide these facilities to the congregations only to be sold to Babylon The Great .

What hypocrites how many JW`s have been hauled over the coals for having the smallest business dealings with a church on a one off basis while they the GB/F&DS sell to churches/Babylon The Great on a regular basis .

we all know that one of the major advantages the society now has with everything being on its official website, is the ability to quickly change content when they desire.. so older articles that show them to have made mistakes, are simply re-written or edited...or even just deleted!

The Jehovahs Witness Religion /Organization is the only group I know of that is ashamed and embarrassed by its past history and continually destroys where it can and rewrites/revises their past history where they can.

Most, if not all other Religions/organizations are proud of their past and early history ,not so the Jehovahs Witnesses

I suppose it may be a bit crass to suggest or question whether Jesus had pubic hair or not as according to Watchtower illustrations he didnt have underarm hair or chest hair either.

Wasnt that just a natural progression of the discussion ?

Sequoia ,what have the police done since you reported it. Are you an adult ? or an under age child ? What have your family said or done about your allegations ? Have you engaged a lawyer to sue him ? A therapist ?your seeing a therapist ?

Do you see that their are so many unanswered questions here that beggars belief ?

While I give you the benefit of the doubt answers to the above questions will go a long way to believing you.

Occupations that will disappear

while growing up in the cult one thing that always bothered me was the way witnesses could forecast jobs/occupations that we're going to vanish in their new world.. for example, we would usually discuss at saturday night wt studies how doctors, nurses, funeral directors, and soldiers would go the way of the dodo.

i always found discussions like that just so strange.. in hs, i mounted an unsuccessful effort to enter veterinary sciences, the big answer was always "why" it won't be needed after armageddon 😝😜.

does anyone have their own story about professions that the witnesses believe will not be needed after the big a ?.

been reading this site for awhile now.

i have had a long and often tragic life as a jw.

my story is so long because i'm pretty old :) i feel sad i've been locked in fear and guilt for my entire life.

Many have already given you so much good advice and encouragement ,so all I can say is take care and enjoy the rest of your life guilt free of displeasing an organization or a God.
