  just wanted to thank everyone so much for all your responses to my first post.

  i am overwhelmed by all the replies and supportive comments that came through overnight while i was asleep here in aussie land!.

  i will absolutely endeavour to reply to each one individually but it will take some time as there are a lot to go through.

  the hypocrisy of the jw cult knows no bounds.

  supposedly, the reason jw's are not allowed to vote is because they must not be a part of this world.

  Jehovahs Witnesses are parasites on society , exploit everything the Government offers and gives NOTHING back in return .,take ,take.take.is what they practice .

  I knew of brothers who accepted the dole from the Govt.without looking for work and happily pioneered .

  Add to my previous post I also learnt the difference between true friendships , aquaintances , and false friends.

  Their are POSITIVELY no true friendships in the JW religion.

  i address this post to guys, however, given my own reluctance to go to the doctor.

  I was getting up every hour on the hour during the night to go to the toilet getting up in the morning exhausted from lack of sleep went to the doctors for the" finger" test and was told I had an enlarged postrate and opted for "Duodart" capsules which relieved the symptoms 100% and now I get a good nights sleep

  Whatever you do dont be embarrased by the" finger" test , the lady doctor asked me if I had a problem with her doing the test ,I said I dont if you dont ,her reply was if she had a problem with it then she should find another occupation.

  he's also a big star wars fan, and they have a star wars day on one of the seafaring days.

  to say we are all looking forward to this is an understatement.

  Thats good news azor he is only about 10 yrs old right ? that must have been a very traumatic time for all of you , I hope the trip is as sensational in reality as it sounds .

  And I hope your son has kicked this disease for good. Worldly people have a lot more heart than most JW`s will ever have.

  ,Yours is a very interesting first post as you get to know a few more posters here I think you will realise their are quite a few that have similar experiences as you have had.My wife and I woke up about 20+ years ago after 33 years in the "truth" converts in late teens.I especially liked Don Camerons approach in "Captives Of A Concept"

  i find most theist arguments to be either confused or dishonest at best.

  and most of them i regard with mild annoyance.

  but there is one track of thinking that is so stupid it really gets under my skin: when, in order to try and prop up "faith", people try and tear down reason and critical thinking.

  Heb.11: 1-3 says that" Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for.the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.

  Heb.11:2 .for by means of this the men of old times had witness born to them .

  Heb11:3. By faith we percieve that the system of things were put in order by Gods word so that what is beheld has come to be out of things that do not appear ?

  Romans Chapter 13 states that everyone should be in subjection to the superior authorities ,for their is no authority except by God .

  2 Cor.4:4 States that the god of this system of things is not jehovah but his adversary Satan the Devil.

  The book of Job clearly shows that Satan not only has freedom to go from heaven speaking to God one on one but he also has the freedom to roam around the earth tempting people.For thousands of years no doubt.

  Then the book of Revelation indicates that Satan was cast out of heaven and confined to the earth to wreak havoc here apparently.in these last days .

  Didnt he have freedom to go back and forth from heaven and earth all the time ?even talking to Jehovah God ? as outlined in the Old Testament ?

  When was Satan ever confined to heaven ? so that he couldnt travel to earth ? What scripture is that ? So that he could then be cast out of heaven and confined to the earth ?

  But havent we already established that he was always walking about on the earth ready to devour someone ?

  Including tempting Jesus ? 2000 years + or - so ago ?

  Romans 13 says that Jehovah is in charge of all superiour authorities ,2 Cor.4:4 says that Satan is the God of this system of things. ????

  Oh well round and round the not so marigoround.

  I think the ARC and ,those conducting it are well aware of JW lawyers trying to decieve the commission with their tactics judging by the previous court appearances . Case 29

  But of course it remains to be seen how it will play out in their next appearance in March ?

  At least the R.C.Church has acknoweledged its appalling attitude to the abuse of so many victims by members of the clergy and are committed to pay the price.

  Are Jehovahs Witnesses going to be so honest ? and acknoledge their failure to protect the children under their care ? in their congregations ?

  And what about discouraging parents of child victims from going to the authorities because it would bring reproach on Jehovahs name and his earthly organization.

  That the Governing Body , the JW legal department , and Bethel in Australia knew of at least 1006 cases of Child sexual abuse against children and not one of these upward of 3018 Elders involved in these cases , not one of them ever contacted child protection services or the police ,and neither did the Australian Bethel Branch that knew about these abuses nor did the Governing Body in New York who were informed of these abuses ever notified the appropiate authorities..

  kingdom hall south dakota live stream.....i found this video on youtube.com.

  it reminds me of my old kingdom hall where hardly anyone is sitting in the front rows and doesn't seem like they have a large membership.most kingdom halls sit around 200 people at the most and seem to have a hard time filling the seats.. my old congregation had around 45 members when i left 4 years ago.we always seemed to have a hard time meeting the monthly expenses.some months,i was told that some elders would contribute extra money so the congregation would not be in the negative for the month.. how many members did your congregation have while you were still attending and did meet its expenses for the month?.
