That fact coupled with the fact we were in a vulnerable state at our conversion is that we wanted to believe the JW message regardless of how it may have seemed bizzaar to normal people.

The bottom line here is we WANTED to believe and closed our minds to anything that challenged that belief.

I `m speking here from my own experience as a young adult who was converted at age 19.

And of course all the research you then did was publications provided by the WTB&TS .that discouraged outside sources.

i believe there was an illustration of a young boy standing up in the classroom for his "beliefs".. thanks..

I cant believe Kim Jong -un is the total dictactor of North Korea he is made out to be.

Seriously ? , none of his Generals , Advisors ,those that are close to his personal safety just go along with whatever he says or is about to do ? and they all agree and do whatever he says ? without question ?

I dont think so .he will be reigned in just like any other leader of any nation , its just that dictators have a far more leeway than western leaders

Do you honestly think his Advisers ,Generals ,etc are not aware of the consequences that North Korea would suffer if it all came to shit ?

This crises will subside like all other crises do .

RUMOUR - Regarding future memorials

i heard this on the youtube channel - bad jw round table discussions and i normally don't give much thought to rumours, i did find this one interesting.one of the guys on the channel said that there are plans that 'the other sheep' will be told not to attend any future memorials.he was asked how credible was this and he said that it is talk going around by those in the know, just like there had been those that knew about the fairly recent new edition of the bible being in production.even if this is probably just a rumour, the idea has a lot of merit.

the benefits for the organization outweigh the negatives and would fit in with their current direction.here are some of the benefits, for the org.

that could come from it- the biggest benefit would come from not having to accommodate so many attendants, which are more than double a normal meeting.

While Jehovahs witnesses like to highlight how many people attend the Memorial celebration ,what , something like 3 times the number of active JW`s ? worldwide ,the fact is the majority of those attending are sub-mariners they only come up once or twice a year ,probably 3 times at most. And that is not a good look for the GB.

These people are JW`s in name only

JW`s are no better than those in christendom who only attend Xmas , Easter celebrations .and are christian in name only.

Because of this reason I could see a change in the way the memorial is conducted .maybe they could have a video link of those "annointed" around the world who partake and the rest of JW`s around the world can observe it watching on a video stream on JW.Org from their own homes .

It wouldnt have to be visualised ,maybe audio /visual coverage even over a couple of days seeing the different time zones around the world.

And they can still blow their own trumpet by saying how many tuned in to JW.Org on memorial night.and how many partakers their were if they so desired .

i just recently stopped attending.

i keep getting messages, emails, texts and voice mails asking if i'm ok. they all say the exact same thing.

it's creepy and a bit scary.

i have little doubt articles of impeachment will be drawn up on trump within the next year or so.

my only question at this point is what are they going to get him for?.

collusion with a foreign government to subvert an election?.

As an Aussie ,I dont quite know what to make of Donald trump .He`s different thats for sure .He is not your usual politician ,he is primarily a business man with varying degrees of success if my sources are correct, with no previous experience in politics.

The reality is he is the duly elected president of the United States of America so surely he should be given the opportunity to prove his worth or not.

Because his approach is so unorthodox doesnt necessarily mean he is not up for the job and hopefully he isnt.

However time will tell

What other organization do you know of that changes , modifies , re-defines , their own previously published history as if it never happened , and then comes up with new interpretations of their former history.

Shouldnt that raise some red flags as to their honesty ?

Will Watchtower “simplify” the baptism arrangement at circuit assemblies?

one-day circuit assemblies…no more “special assembly day”--it was a sad occasion anyways.

Occasionally, the baptismal talk is given, but nobody gets dunked. That must be embarrassing for Watchtower and create some cognitive dissociate for those attending.

Surely that is not the case nowadays is it ?

How insane would that be give a 30 min.talk on Baptism and no baptismal candidates are their ?

Why would they even do that ?

These no-show baptism candidates at these large venues are a constant reminder to the JW community that there is something terribly wrong in this 'Spiritual Paradise' today!

That is the only consolation I can find .Maybe the penny will drop on those that can see the stupidity of this organisation having a Baptism talk when their are no baptismal candidates.
