  The penalty for disobeying God in the book of Genesis is death ,plain and simple.Nothing else is alluded to .

  Except for the birth pangs that women would now endure ,their was absolutely nothing about any other afflictions that Adam and Eve and their offspring would have to endure for their initial disobedience.

  God ,Jehovah,Yahweh whatever you want to call him only said that the penalty of disobeying him was death.they would eventually die.

  The fact of life is humans suffer far much more than death ,is GOD guilty of the sin of omission ? in not spelling out all of the diseases ,the indignitys ,debillitating illnesses,life threatening diseases ,far too many to mention by name ,however none of them indicated in the sentence handed down to Adam and Eve.or their offspring.

  is there really any reason why God couldn't help out and do good in the meantime, give us a cure for cancer for instance? If it is in His power to do that, would it make any difference in settling the issue as to whether man can rule himself?

  Why was their leprosy sufferers in the days when God /Jehovah was the theocratic ruler over the nation of Israel ? just as an example.,why did Gods chosen people die in battles waged when God was with them in favourable times ?

  some of the pro-jws are comparing the award reception to that of shadrach, messach, and abendego.

  therefore excusing it as perfectly acceptable in the eyes of god.

  that just seems a bit of a stretch to me, given that the jws talk about political neutrality, ect.

  Why does this forum tolerate Cold steele and his mormonism beliefs ? Who`s next ?

  i thought this forum was for people who were ex jw`s and pro jw`s and the like to debate ,discuss and reasonably talk about our differences ,and sometimes drift off into politics world events and whatever.. however over a period of time i have come across cold steel `s many posts which are nothing more than promoting his mormon religions point of view./beliefs what has that got to do with jehovahs witnesses and the concerns many have with the jw religion.?.

  it seems to me he is using this forum to promote his religion and is getting away with it over a long period of time.. how long before other cult religions see this as a springboard for promoting their own religion such as .

  sda`s ,christian scientists , christadelphians ,beroean bible students ,etc.etc.. where will it end if he is able to keep doing this ?.

  I appreciate all your feedbacks folks of my OP.,if I can clarify it ,I am not against anybody having a different point of view than mine ,CS is quite right to express his opinions here as everybody else has.

  However i just felt his never been a JW and as a practicing Mormon that was something that needed to be brought to others attention .

  Especially his constant attempts to promote mormonism in general and target one poster in particular.(with a view to convert ?)

  I suppose I could have done things differently and just pm`d Simon and he could have set me straight.

  I am certainly not against freedom of speech and if I have given that impression I apologise.

  like for instance, christ ruling in the midst of his enemies, but doing so invisibly.. let's let that one sink in for a minute.

  you've supposedly got a king who is ruling for a kingdom, but it is an invisible rule.

  Are /were they a family in good standing ? if not they certanly are now in the organisations eyes.

  Was /is brother Novik an Elder ? ministerial servant ? or just another ordinary publisher with too much time on his hands,and more interested in pushing out babies for Mother Russia and the accolades he would get from Vladimir Putin.

  It will be interesting to see what connections if any, their were between the two..

  Regardless of that my condolonces to the victims family ,their is no excuse for this type of crime.And hopefully the perpretator gets his just deserts.
