  i ask this question for good reason.

  let's face it, despite all the books, videos, forums, court cases, hearings, protests etc that have been exposing the society for many years.

  jw.org continues to roll on almost 'it seems' unscathed.. for example, just walk into any kingdom hall there is not so much as a whisper about anything that has been exposed outside of jw land.

  hi everyone, this is my first post .. it takes a little bit of courage to do it, i have to admit and even thought i have been lurking for some time as time goes by it gets more and more difficult to keep attending meetings and just been around the friends in the congregation.

  ever since i learned about the arc something inside of me just broke and it feels pretty hollow, now i pay attention to every single form of manipulation in every direction, what difference it makes with the catholic church or with any other religions ?

  i wonder why the publishers are under obligation to report about their lives and decisions to the elders but they don´t keep informed the congregation about what´s going on legally other than russia.

  I can also add my warm welcome to you red tomato and dont worry about feeling nervous in posting on this site , most of us were scared ,apprehensive,nervous when we first came on this site.

  Wondering what we were getting ourselves into.

  Thats just an indication of how brainwashed we were by JW`s.

  In my case 10 years ago and the best thing I have ever done with regards to religion/spirituality or lack of it.

  Coincidences can happen but they are rare ,their are far too many coincidences here ,somebody in the art department has had some fun over many years.

  Whether he,they have been apostates or just someone taking the mickey out of the Borg , who knows.

  melbourne international convention australia, thousands of watchtower robots and i happened to get in an elevator with viv mouritz one of the main men at bethel.

  he had a young pretty sister who was escorting him around.

  i stood behind them and rocognized him instantly.

  The Roman Catholic Religion has over 1 billion members worldwide and they go back 2000 years of human history.

  Jehovahs Witnesses have about 8 million members worldwide and they go back as far as aprox.140 years of recent history

  Which one do you think is the more newsworthy ? To the general public ?

  Well if it was staged depicting the Russian police as thugs hiding behind masks raiding and vandalising a place of worship of people who have committed no crime surely it will backfire on those who staged this video .

  Surely the Russian Govt. would not let this go unchallenged and bring those responsible to justice

  And if it was done by well intended JW `s to highlight the percieved persecution in Russia it would not do their cause one bit of sympathy only reinforce that they are a cult that needs to be curtailed.

  It may be unbreakable in the short term however their are a lot more cracks opening up.

  This is just one ex JW site and yet every day or two a newbie breaks free from the cult and shares their experiences.

  No doubt every other ex JW site is having the same joy.

  Are JW kingdom halls overflowing like they predicted they would be by now or are they actually being sold off because fewer people are using them.

  Wasnt it just a couple of years ago they were talking about building more KH`s because of the increase ?

  And yet today we see the opposite happening.

  When a business/religion is thriving its expanding opening up more venues and branching out with more outlets.

  When a business/religion is in trouble they are consoladating their losses shutting down venues closing what outlets they have..

  Shedding staff ,reducing overheads ,cutting costs every where they can.

  Isnt the writing on the wall for the WTB&TS /Jehovahs Witness religion ?

  I certainly think so ,however that does not mean they will cease to exist anytime soon.

  Think of Christian Scientists ,Assembly Of God (name change now ) Christadelphians,CJCLS (mormons) and Seventh Day Adventists (SDA)

  Most of these were end times religion that sprung up in the 1800`s and they are still functioning today.

  And their are probably a helluva lot more still operating.

  absolutely thrilled to give you the news that my younger brother, a zealous full-time pioneer has left the witnesses!!.

  i haven't seen or spoke to him in a year.

  i'd lost all contact with him, no facebook, no mobile number, i didn't even know his address because he'd moved house.
