  remember when we were jws and we'd hear from the platform, in conventions and on jw broadcasting that the things jws have achieved could only be possible with the help of the holy spirit?

  yeah, well, i used to believe that when i was "in".

  since leaving we all know this is bs, but today a simple, non religious, conversation lead me to see how stupid their claim is.. in my attempt to meet people and make friends i joined an international meetup group online a few months ago.

  Doubtfully Yours

  You do know that 1975 was the second time the WT predicted that 6000 years of humans living on earth would come to an end ?

  The first time was when they believed 6000 years of humans living on earth would come to an end was in the late 1800`s .

  So according to JW`s DY,and p.e,and others Jesus christ was ruling as enthroned King in the heavens since 1914 which is 61 years before the 6000 years of human history finished in 1975 and is the start of the final 1000 years of a creative day,that JW`s and holy Spirit taught.

  We are now into the 42nd year of the 1000 year reign of Christ Jesus that began in 1975 according to the writings and publications of the WTB&TS in the 1960`sand 70`s.

  So if we are now living under Jesus Christ rule for the past 103 years ,and the past 42 years into the 1000 year reign of jesus Christ it doesnt bode well for the next 900 or so years remaining.

  Then again how do JW`s coincide jesus reign from 1914 with the 1975 start of the last 1000 years when the WT indicated it would be an appropiate time to begin his rule and the fact that the NT indicates Jesus was/is ruling since his ascension 2000 years ago ?

  A roman Catholic Spanish Monk Justus Martinus of the 13th century first coined the name Jehovah using the 4 hebrew letters of the tetragrammaton then translated as JHVH and adding some vowels.to come up with Jehovah.

  So in fact the Roman Catholic Church invented the name of God as Jehovah.and jehovahs Witnesses adopted that name instead of the more correct pronunciation of Yahweh. Hebrew never had a "J" sounding letter.

  That is why some translations of the Bible use the letter y instead of j in their translations.E.G. Yosiah ,Yesus .etc.

  any book that claims to be god’s word should have the minimum qualification of clarity.

  if any of its verses are open to many interpretations, it cannot be god’s word.

  god can easily be crystal clear as traffic police who puts traffic signals (red means stop, green means start …etc.

  What is wrong with God that he doesnt / couldnt revise his word down through the ages ?

  You would think that a loving God who had genuine concern and "love for the world of mankind" would give them his latest communication to them in these "last days " before he smites them off the face of the earth

  Why are we still looking at centuries old "inspired" writings that keeps getting interpreted ,re-interpreted by imperfect humans as to what God was supposed to have meant ?

  What do they know ?

  Why cant he speak for himself ?

  Why cant he speak plain english ,hebrew,greek in todays language instead of us relying on interpreting dead languages that nobody understands today ?

  And supposed bible scholars have different views anyway just to confuse matters more .

  Blood Transfusions/Blood Salvage

  hi all,i've been doing some research on blood transfusions and fractions.

  i found out a patient can donate their own blood, so it can be used for elective surgery...i was wondering if theirs really any difference between a blood transfusion of your own blood and the blood salvage procedure.

  i think quite similar since its just a re-transfusion of your own blood.. what are your thoughts?

  And that whole blood is donated by the general population who JW`s condemn as being a part of Satans world including Christendom.

  It never ceasers to amaze me how they can condemn christendom for certain practices for many years or even decades and then inexplicably they are engaging in the very same practices they once condemned ?

  ATM`s at Conventions.

  Never soliciting for money ? ( Always.) At assemblys .conventions , and on JW.Org

  TV/Video screens at KH`s and conventions

  TV Evangelism

  GB sanctioned worldly music and worldly music ,& dancing at conventions .(other wise it wouldnt take place )

  and videos `s of GB members participating.

  And their is probably more.

  i found out a patient can donate their own blood, so it can be used for elective surgery...i was wondering if theirs really any difference between a blood transfusion of your own blood and the blood salvage procedure.

  I`m going back over 30 years ago when the understanding then of the scriptures relating to blood was:

  "blood was to be poured out on the ground ,and not to be used for anything "

  Blood and Bone Fertilizer was not even to be used by a JW on their gardens ,it was a DF offence. to continually use it.

  Jehovah God has not revised the Bible these past 2000 years .

  How is it ,noting that by their own admission the GB is not inspired or directed by Holy Spirit they can re-interpret scriptures to allow fractions ? of this and that ? and ban other components of blood ? as not acceptable ?

  When did Jehovah intervene and tell them about fractions /components of blood and what is acceptable and what is not.?

  Especially so when they admit they can make mistakes ? their not perfect ?

  They are not inspired by Jehovah ,their not directed by Jehovah ,so where do they get off telling us what is acceptable to God and what is not ?
