i believe today's witnesses lack zeal, resolve, "love" of the "truth"......just to name a few things.. years ago, witnesses were excited to knock on doors and tell people they were gonna die if they didn't accept paradise.. now, when you see jws in service, they all look zombied out.. it's a slowly dying religion that will last probably forever like an ancient rotted out tree..
I`m in two minds about this,in the 70`s & 80`s particulary the 70`s their was a real expectancy of the big" A" just around the corner and the jw`s were dillingently going about their ministry,almost running from door to door.Especially was this so with the special brochures that were delivered b4 1975,many bros. saw this as a anti-type of the walls of jericho falling,then of course the spiel from the gb.that if 1975 wasn`t the actual date then it would only be a matter of a few years if not months b4 all things would be fullfilled. In other words Armageddon,and Paradise earth.
Their was a genuine urgency in those days,their is no such urgency noticeable today

at this time last year i was in another deep depression feeling alone & hopeless despite being surrounded by people who said they cared and belonging to a religion that said it could offer mankind the only real hope in life.
it's ironic that i now have more online friends than physical friendships, am no longer a part of that religion & i feel happier than i have in many years.
i'm thankful to have found this website & feeling validated.

i think it was for me.. i knew a lot of the history of the bible students, russell, rutherford and the "old light".

once i could see all of the overwhelming evidence right in front of my eyes, there was no ignoring the reality..
While it wasn`t the internet initially, the reason I left in `93,it certainly has made sure I will never be duped again by a manipulating controlling cult.
