  sorry i thought it was a new morning worship video but it is 6 months old and has already been discussed on here..  it is presented by gb helper k flodin and about this generation.

  the delusion and hypocrisy runs deep.. he reminds the cult members not to speculate because they aren't supposed to know the day or the hour.

  Newspaper article on Conventions—why so glowing?

  every year in dozens of cities where conventions are being held, newspapers typically write an article about the event.

  there are exceptions, but usually it is like the articles above.

  i would love to see more newspaper articles that did some actual objective reporting, rather than puff pieces.

  If you click on the article (top one ) and click on Emily Thornton , you have her email contact and go from their.

  Many newspapers have a Letters to the Editor section where you can have your say about something they have published

  otherwise you can just look up the Newspaper in the phone book and contact them , their are multiple ways of contacting newspapers and TV studios , Radio stations , as well , when you want your voice heard.

  Even if it isn`t , your concern , made to print ,or acknowledged by the TV studio , or does not come to air on Radio , those institutions , Newspapers ,TV studios , Radio ,etc , have been made aware of your concern or gripe.

  The more people do it the more it will have an effect in the media

  It`s like the squeaky gate is the one that gets oiled .

  We have to bombard the media ,Radio ,Television ,Newspapers with our concerns about the Jehovah`s Witnesses /WTB&TS as regards their public image that they project against the reality of broken families , shunning of family members even children who have been baptized , etc.

  I could only take so much of his arguments turned it off halfway through it.

  Just seemed like he was nit-picking ? Sure , you wouldn`t have seen anything like that 5-10 or so years ago , however he could have challenged the WT on a more serious note , say like G.Jackson testimony at the Australian Royal Commission into Child Sexual Abuse , or the UK investigation into the WT , or even all the law suites taking place in the USA .etc,etc.

  Plus,,, I don`t see where Japanese still ins are outraged with this video , maybe I will have to look at the rest of the video , and comment again

  I sent Emily Thornton an e-mail suggesting she do her homework on Jehovah`s Witnesses before just copying a PR statement from the convention , especially since the Witnesses are very vocal in their publications about the dangers of higher education , as well as shunning,and Child Abuse cases with the ARC .

  Not surprisingly it was never acknowledged , at least she got it.

  And that`s what you can do ,comment on any article that`s printed in a newspaper either by contacting the journalist or writing in " Letters To The Editor" section

  Should all the JW`s who ever took part in a quick build/renovations take out a class action against the WTB&TS for compensation ?

  let`s face it , the people who took part in quick builds / renovations of kingdom halls , etc, never expected the wtb&ts to sell off the buildings they were so sure was for furthering kingdom interests in this system of things .. they gave their time, effort, money, labour ,free of charge , and then some years later the society sells it off for a profit ?

  to the wt ?.

  They gave their time, effort, money, labour ,free of charge , and then some years later the Society sells it off for a profit ? to the WT ?

  Kingdom halls , Assembly Halls , etc. built by volunteer labour , gifts , donations etc. all goes to the WTB&TS , they own it.,

  not the people who laboured over it , not the people who physically laboured over it , and not the people who financed it.

  It belongs to the WTB&TS , and when they see fit to dispose of such a building the proceeds / profits go to , you guessed it the WTB&TS.

  Do the congregations that were involved in these activities receive any monetary benefits for their efforts ? No of course not , the GB reaps all the benefits /profits.

  The rank and file , the ordinary practicing Jehovah`s Witness has been taken for a fool for generations thinking they are serving Jehovah .

  The fact is they have been serving the interests of the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses

  A question for NEWBIES , especially if you would have died for your beliefs , and / or if you have been a long time in the religion .

  Was it by accident ? somebody has mentioned it to you ? Your own curiosity ? something or someone has stumbled you ?

  I for one would find it very interesting how you respond.

  In my own case , many years ago when my son set up a computer for me ( I had been out close to 15 years by then ) I was curious about the JW`s and came across Shaun`s site an ex JW , which I thought was very good ,which then led me to Dogpatch ,which I also find very good ,which led me here ,where I feel it suits my needs and where I can express myself and learn so much more than what I would have dreamed of.

  So please , feel free to contribute your personal experience (without exposing yourself) I`m sure it would be very informative to us all.

  Of course older posters may also give their experiences also ,I just thought that so many newbies are coming in now , how do they find us ?
