  There is a new letter to elders about Child Abuse

  anyone see that there is a long letter on how to handle child abuse?.

  Could somebody with the know-how pass this letter on to the Australian Royal Commission Into Institutions of Child Sexual Abuse ? I`m sure they would be very happy /appreciate recieving it .

  Also the letter sent to the Goddard report /invesigation in the UK into child Sexual Abuse , are two that come to mind .

  And if their are any other cases around the world where Governments are looking at institutions that are under investigation of Child Sexual Abuse , I`m sure they too would appreciate a copy of this letter.

  anyone else had this following convention

  so my mam visited today.

  she recently went to convention in north east england, newcastle i think they still have them at.

  before she left she said (this is her exact words btw) "you have put me in a difficult position and i can't come to see you anymore".. she told me that as i live with my partner and we are unmarried that she can't visit anymore.

  I`m with GrreatTeacher on this .It`s her choice , your mother is cutting you off /shunning you .Make her feel the consequences of her actions by not sending her any photo`s , DVD`s, or letters , or e-mails , about your daughter.

  She has made her bed let her lie in it.

  " Abusers project their bad behaviour on others " so very true.Don`t be a victim It`s also emotional blackmail

  JWs do Volunteer To Help Worldly Organizations Distribute Food to the Needy

  some months back i posted a topic asking if jws were now encouraged to volunteer their time for charitable organizations, as one of the volunteers who i work with was promoting jw.org to one of the spanish speaking workers.

  well the other day as he and i were folding and stacking tables after distributing food to the needy, i mentioned that after i retired i got bored and decided to do volunteer work.

  For a clued up, long standing in good faith JW to support worldly charities is just not on.If the person is a JW , he is either new , mentally unbalanced ,( no offence it happens ) or whatever else you come up with , but he is not representative of JW`s. as a whole.

  Think about it ,JW`s teach that only Gods Kingdom is going to fix mankinds woes.Nobody else.

  That the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one Satan the Devil , if you support any of the worlds programs you are supporting Satan , especially in this time of the end.

  You cannot be slaves to two masters , etc , etc, .

  And if a JW was giving his time and money to further a worldly charitable organization a part of Satans System of things , instead of giving that time and money to the WTB&TS he or she would be brought before a JC to please explain.

  And as another poster explained JW`s charities for what they are only benefit JW`s or their family or friends , not the general public , as is usual in theses cases .

  just following the "worst-district-convention-ever" there's a lot of frightened jw's worriedly and eagerly excited about the "great tribulationnnnn-tam-tam-tammmmm" starting.

  it's the talk of the town in jw land.. today, my wife is off to the sunday meeting and an after-spiritual-banquet-get-together for the speaker.

  i'm staying home for this one.

  As they say their is one born every minute , however you have to give it to these guys and gals who are running this show to take advantage of the vulnerable , fearfull ,gullible , poorly educated , and misfits of society to exploit them out of money they probably can ill afford to pay

  Or am I just being cynical and too harsh on this company.and those who buy it.

  Thank you somebody for replying , however I am not asking what the NWT says , I have one myself but regretfully discarded the word for word translation of the greek text published by the WT society.which could be different to what the NWT says.That`s why I asked if anybody has The Kigdom Interlinear Of The Christian Greek Scriptures , and quote what it actually says in the word for word text.of the scriptures cited .

  As an example of their deception , in the KIT of john 1;1 it states " and God was the word" with no indefinite article such as "a" , however , in their interpretation of that scripture , they state that the word was "a" God.

  But that`s not what their word for word translation states , do you get my drift ?

  i've been researching the wt and the un involvement.

  when i was still in and i first seen the un letter online, my cognitive dissonance kicked and i told myself it'll be a fake.

  an apostate lie.. and seeing as no jw i've spoken to has ever heard of it, and flatly deny any involvement "no, they wouldn't do that", i decided to do a little "personal study" of my own.

  The average old time Jehovah`s Witnes has his/her head deep in the sand,refusing to believe or accept what is obvious to a blind man.

  Are you going to believe what the UN says about jehovah`s witness involvement in the United Nations ?

  Or are you going to believe what the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses say about their involvement. with the United Nations.

  Both of them admit Jehovah`s Witnesses were a member of the NGO , a non governmental organization that proscribed to the fundamental criteria of being a member of the NGO of the UN.

  And they were members of the UN as an NGO for approximately 9 years 1990- 2000 approximately., first exposed by a Uk journalist

  in the video of the world youth day "spread message of divine mercy" the young people are called witnesses of christ's church.

  i am now watching the happy young people.. introduction words even in english at youtube 9:07. .

  anyone here understands polish too?.

  You watch a convention of JW`s , Mormons , SDA `s etc,. and you will find happy young people everywhere .

  You probably would have found them in Jonestown / Waco , Medina ,/ Mecca ,, etc. also.

  That is no validation for truth

  i stopped in to see if that are any overwhelming statistics, stories or feedback from people regarding the 2016 district convention.....haven't seen much...... any stories or threads?.

  A niece of mine said to me the Elders are really showing love to the congregations now trying to help them prepare for the GT that is about to befall us.please come back.

  What can you say to such deluded people .My wife tells me to let her be , we were their once.

  Do Jehovah`s Witnesses believe what the Bible actually states in scripture ? or do they just accept what their current INTERPRETATION of scripture is.

  I was always taught they believed what the scriptures actually said and not what others interpretated those scripture to mean.

  Of course they always meant Christendom here ,particulary the R.C.Church , never themselves.

  Getting back to the OP , what does the word for word translation say of the scriptures in question Luke 8:37-39

  Mark 5:18-20 ?

  in "The Kingdom Interlinear Of The Christian Greek Sriptures " printed by the WTB&TS , anybody ?
