by untruth inthis is my first time posting on here so i’m not sure where to start.

What is that scripture that says something like , if they ask you for an inch give them a mile or some such thing.?
In other words , what the worldly authorities are asking of them is nothing more than trying to alleviate problems that could occur with organizations that dont comply , so why are they resisting ? instead of complying ?
Should they not be bending over backwards to comply ? So as not to be seen as an organization with something to hide ?
The fact is that not only Elders ,Ministerial servants ,have been guilty of abuses against children/minors in the Congregations/organization of Jehovahs Witnesses , in many parts/ countries of the World , but also members of the rank & file , both male and female offenders have been successfully prosecuted in many lands.

Secrecy?
by HereIgo inwere any of you shocked by the secrecy in the org?
i remember hearing that elders have to turn in their "flock" books if they resign, get deleted, etc, i didn't even know they had their own books and i was an ms. is the bible not enough?
i remember i asked one of the elders if i could see my publisher record, they refused to show me!

If a brother consistently reported over 10 hours a month in FS ,providing he was exemplary in other areas of his life he was prime material for being appointed as a MS and later on as being appointed as an Elder
For the life of me I cant find any reference to amount of hours in field service you need to achieve to become a MS or an Elder in the Christian Greek Scriptures.

I see your relatively new here , Welcome by the way ,time will heal you of this satanic attack ,LOL ,as suggested fill your mind with alternative music ,like K.D.Langs hallelujah ,you wont be able to get that out of your head
And if you want to puke have a look at the WT `s attempt to flash mob with their Kingdom songs in public places ,pathetic .

A brother and I used to pick the decade when when JW`s came into the "truth" by the clothes they wore.
In the small town where I live ,until recently their were only two supermarkets ,one which was frequented by JW`s after the sunday meetings ,and I was taken back by the dress/grooming of young married brothers hairstyles / clothing ,definetely tight pants close fitting suits ,haircuts shaved on the sides ,gelled on the top of there heads ,and pointy shoes that I thought only women wore.
The young wives , were really trendy doled up to the hilt with long boots ,reasonable length skirts , and modern hairstyles , that they would fit in anywhere in the world.
I think the GB secretly admire the Mormon dress code of their Missionaries.

Has their ever been any meet-ups here in Australia ? in any state ? Just curious , I`m in Victoria.
I`m not one that jumps into relationships/meeting people at the best of times. so I dont know how I would go anyway.
I tend to sus people out before I make myself known, I see myself as a middle of the road sort of a guy,not a leader ,nor do I want to be on the tail end ,if you know what I mean.
Even in my workplace ,when a new person joined ,I would tend to sit back and see what they wew like before getting too chummy with them , unlike some who jumped in as if they were lifelong buddys ,sometimes to their sorrow.
You know what I mean ?

Hello
by UnshackleTheChains ini decided to join this forum as have been lurking awhile.
there are lots of interesting topics on here that appeal to me.. i have been a witness for almost 3 decades and am very disillusioned with the organisation at this time.
i am beginning to see it in a new light as i am getting older.

Watchtower view on hunting and fishing?
by HereIgo ini grew up doing both.
while i was in the org, i didn't hear too much about fishing, but all of the co's frowned upon hunting.
their stance was jw's should not own a gun.

Jesus obviously approved of fishing ,killing fish for food , and he would not be against hunting animals for food as is demonstrated in the Bible anyway.
Your OP is not explicit enough , hunting for sport is entierely a different thing altogether .and I guess that is what you actually meant.
If a JW hunts or fishers for the purpose of putting food on the table for himself or his family , nobody , elders ,CO ,`s or anybody, has cause for complaint against him , that is definetely a conscience matter.
Killing for sport is another matter entirely.,and maybe you should look on Jehovah God`s record in the Bible for his record on that score.
