  Need some advice Re: JW marking by a family member

  so anyone that has read some of my posts on here over the years knows i have done the slow fade over the last 30 years.

  i do not claim to be a jw and have not being in a kingdum hall now to attend a meeting or convention for religious reasons for almost 15 years.

  now i know the discussion on here from this past dc was the rank and file dubs have being pressured to distance themselves away from family members that are no longer active dubs that they deem are not living up to wt bible principals.

  Do Jehovah's Witnesses view the governing body differently since seeing them on the TV?

  i think this may be a bigger issue for the society than we realise.. when you consider that witnesses have now had well over a year of regularly seeing their 'channel to god' with their own eyes, what do you think they're thinking?.

  i'm going to put this as respectfully as i can; these men are clearly a bunch of utter clowns who are laughably inadequate to present a tv show, but also, they are now ridiculously discredited due to the absolute shite that they've spoken in these laughable productions.. consider things from a jw's perspective; tony morris, stephen lett & geoffrey jackson are 'the channel' that makes their religion 'special'.

  these men are the channel god is using to lead his people in the modern day.

  You would have to be an imbecile to believe these men were chosen by the Almighty GOD To represent him as the spokespersons for him before the Tribulation and armageddon .

  100 + years of flip flops , back flips ,new light - old light , usuing a Catholic monk translation of the name of GOD Jehovah ,even though Yahweh is the more accepted version of his name,

  100 + years of Christ jesus rule since 1914 , that hasnt accomplished anything noteworthy ? nothing that couldnt be claimed by any other Christian Religion during that time period.

  You have done a slow fade for the past 30 years , have not attened a meeting for the past 15 years ?

  And you are concerned about what your JW sister thinks of you ?

  It sounds to me , WP , that you are a typical person that has left the "truth" however the "truth" has never left you ,

  You need to do research and decide for yourself whether JW`s have the truth or not and stop sitting on the fence.

  Research information on this site using the search option at the top right hand corner on subjects that relate to the truth.

  The time has come for you to make decisions in your life that map out your future ,go for it.

  Requesting a few dozen copies of any edition of Watchtower and/or Awake!

  You do know you can be outed for posting on an ex JW site and called into the back room for a JC committee dont you ?

  However welcome to the forum and stick around , I gaunrantee you will learn more about the Jehovah`s Witness religion here than you would ever learn at a Kingdom hall .

  Think about this : Did Jehovah ever in the 4000 years of his dealings with his chosen people in the Old Testament /Hebrew scriptures , did he ever use the excuse for old light new light for ever changing understangs of previously new light that has now become old light ?

  Is their anything that even remotely suggests such a thing in the Christian Greek Scriptures ? Old Light New light ?, that is apparent in the New Testament /Christian greek Scriptures ?

  Think about it : What would the Bible look like if the Old Testament /Hebrew Scriptures , New testament Christian Greek Scriptures looked like if that was applied to those early scriptures.

  The Bible would be a mess of conflicting contrdicting mish mash if that were the case , think about it.

  The Bible record does not contain old light new light examples , it is a ruse that the Governing Body of Jehovahs Witnesses use to excuse their failed prophecys.,predictions ,and expectations of what is to come according to their interpretation of Bible prophecy.

  Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians, why do so many ex JW's deny this?

  jehovah's witnesses accept jesus as christ, the son of god.

  they try, in their own way, to live by his teachings and imitate him.

  they pray, read the bible and meet together regularly for worship.. i won't minimise any of the harm and damage they cause but for the life of me, i can't see how anyone can credibly deny that they are christians.. why do so many former jws have a problem with this?

  The Jehovah`s Witnesses religion is based on the Old Testament books and use the New Testament scriptures where it suits them to validate their claim to be a Christian Religion.in this day and age.

  Their Theocracy , Bible teachings , Dramas , used at Conventions etc,,use of scripture , rely heavily on Old Testament scriptures and very few of their Dramas at Conventions relate to the New Testament , .or Jesus Christ teachings , or any of the Gospel accounts .They are predominately relying on Old Testament writings , why ? to give credence to their claim that Isa. 43:10-12 applys to them ,and them only.

  Despite the fact the Jews never identified themselves as JW`s.

  Jesus on earth never berated the Jews for not doing so .

  And Jesus himself never uttered the name Jehovah throughout his ministry or .even when he was dying on a torture stake /or cross

  { For Jehovahs Witnesses who may be looking } The WTB&TS publication Kingdom Interlinear of The Christian Greek Scriptures does not contain the Tetragrammaton at all ,so the name Jehovah does not belong in the New World Translation of The Christian Greek Scriptures

  Jehovah`s Witnesses are Christian in name only , they are not genuine ,the new Testament ,Christian Greek Scriptures lists approximately 30 scriptures where followers of Jesus are to bear witness to and for him .

  Their is not one scripture that tells followers of Christ Jesus to bear witness to or for Jehovah , not one.

  It is Jesus Christ that has the name everybody should bow down to in heaven on earth and under the earth , not Jehovah the NEW World Translation of The Christian Greek Scriptures

  You dont hear that in a Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses.

  I found a list my Wife is makingof subjects i have told her about the BORG.

  so me and my wife have not been on speaking terms for about 5 weeks, and when we do .

  talk…it is arguing about the jw cult and more of a barrage from me telling here all the stuff i have learned.

  i know i shouldn't do this....but, i get so freaking p.o ed aobut what this cult has done to my family.

  I`m inclined to go with cha ching on this one , and hopefully we are right .As JW facts says , you could ask her at an appropiate time ,dont any of these questions give you cause for concern ?

  Give her the benefit of the doubt , and more time to absorb what you have said , maybe she will have doubts that you never knew about.

  apparently the spanish forum, extj.com, is being shut down coming december.it's pretty sad.

  there is still so much work to do to help people in latin america and spain come out of this cult!.

  The Debate Is Over...

  for years theologians and historians have researched who the historical person known as jesus was and how much of the biblical account could be verified.

  countless books have been written going into great detail.

  this has been a controversial subject with some even claiming that jesus never existed.

  When its all boiled down Jesus never really said much at all .

  He never wrote anything down at all

  He is supposed to have died for all mankind , yet he never spoke to all mankind , only the Jews.

  Mainly , what he has supposedly accomplished comes from second and third hand witnesses.

  He lived for 33 years but only preached for 3 of those years

  He is spoken of as the greater Moses , however , he doesnt come within cooee of what Moses accomplished in his life.

  He is qouted as an authority on marriage , children ,and women , yet he never experienced living with a woman / sex , or having children.

  Attending a same-sex wedding

  my cousin, whom is not jw, but we have grown up together our whole lives has just gotten engaged to her same sex partner, i am very conflicted on wether i can/should attend the wedding or not.

  i am very close with my cousin and her partner and they are very understanding to our beliefs and differences as she grew up with our whole family being jw.

  some family members have already said they will definitely be attending and some definitely not attending so i just want some extra advice and guidance!

  sam your 19 , baptised and living at home with your parents ? sorry to say ,but if you attended this same sex marriage ,you would definetely be hauled into the back room with the Elders and eventually DF,unless you bow down ,kiss their ass and plead ignorance in which case you might only be put on probation for a year or two .,or whatever they now call it for the next 12 months

  Jehovahs Witness Elders , not all, as is evidenced by this forum , but by far , the most majority seem to glee , finding fault with their brothers and sisters and bringing them up before a JC. and either reproving them or DF them from the congregation.

  Some Elders seem to see the need to validate their position as Elder , by bringing the chopping block down on their fellow brothers or sisters and disfellowshipping them from the Congregation.,and subsequent shunning that follows.
