  Were you aware of the shunning policy when becoming a JW

  for those who became jws, were you fully aware of the societys cruel shunning policy whilst studying?

  i absolutely had no idea such a policy existed until years later.

  it really only hit home when reading the horrendous stories on the internet around 2002. .

  "It is the victims right to approach authorities" The weak excuse used by the society

  we have seen that the society falls back on the line "it is the victims right to approach the authorities" during all the abuse claims.. they use this excuse to try and defend the passive lack of action in failing to report suspected cases of abuse.. a comparison came to mind:.

  if we came across a person lying in the street who says they were hit by a car, would we say "it is your absolute right to call the paramedics and police"?.

  or would we take the initiative and call those authorities ourselves to help the person?.

  Sitting a young female minor sexualy abused victim down with three older men in a judicial committee meeting often in the presence of the perpetrator and being grilled by all of them is not traumatising the young victim ?

  They have to be kidding.

  Knowing about these abuses and not reporting them to the relevant authorities makes them an accessary after the fact of a crime being committed and they should be prosecuted.

  Thanks listener for that update., I only hope that the Australian authorities carry through with their obligations to protect children who have been abused and prosecute those that have been negligent in protecting those in their care .

  Anything less than that is a miscarriage of justice and if that occurs I will be the first to protest against it and hopefully many more will fpllow.

  many here have asked how the average witness in australia is taking the news of the arc findings and conclusions.. is it affecting them?.

  sorry to say, hardly any are even aware of the facts.

  those that are, have been convinced that all the publicity is "apostate lies and satanic propaganda".

  You will never get a straight answer out of a Jehovahs Witness whether he/she is a R&f member , pioneer, MS ,Elder, or a GB member ,why ?

  Because they all speak out of both sides of their mouth

  The publications of Jehovahs Witnesses are designed to give two sides of a question put to them depending on what the questionaire expects to get as an answer .

  of publisher numbers go up its a sign jehovah must be blessing the work if they go down it a sign the end must be near .

  Sorry , In an earlier post you said you didn`t have a support system even if you wanted to leave.

  Your 18 years old and still living at home , you need to bite your tongue and respect your family providing for you until you can branch out on your own and be independant.

  Dont bite the hand that feeds you.

  Learn to control your tongue.Otherwise you will only make life more difficult for yourself.

  i heard my hard out jw sister say that for the 1st time in many years and i'm hearing more and more jw's saying that.

  years ago when i was in they talked about the new system coming any minute..

  This system of things cant last more than five years . Told to me every few years from the early 1960`s.

  I didn`t leave till 1993 ,I`m a slow learner.
