I want the Jehovah that celebrates Christmas

't is the season and my oldest is now 5 (and in school), it's also how long i've been 'out'.

i just wanted to share this story about my daughter.

you can find some of my history on these forums as well.. in the mean time, i've started a new family, i have shared custody (half the weekdays and every other weekend) with my oldest and my youngest is 2 and we are celebrating christmas.

Most people in the western world are Christians in name only and if they attend a church service at all it is only for weddings births Easter or someones funeral or their own

The rest that celebrate xmas are people that never attend a church service ever.It has become a secular celebration in so called Christian nations by people that are not religious at all.

Its an excuse for a celebration food drink and partys

I know , me and my extended family are non religious and we enjoy getting together in celebration.

Kingdumb songs, will they someday make the top 25 Religious Hymns???

amazing grace have been around since 1779, how great thou art 1885,holy holy holy 1826, be thou my vision (ireland) 6th century, all creatures of god and king (italy)1225. so you think one day we will hear a kingdumb song playing over the radio.

you would think surely jehovah want the world to be familiar with his hymns.... maybe they have instructed the rf to only sing their songs in the kh, only for special folks..

Where the playing of Kingdom songs could have a positive effect.

In a terroist prison playing non stop to obtain a confession from a suspect.Especially a Muslim but not exclusive to them.

Again using these recordings to extricate confessions from murderers & serial killers if there played over and over again.

And if you want to get a divorce from your spouse ,playing Kingdom songs constantly no judge would rule against you.

devil question

i had a discussion with 4 jws today and they told me that jesus could not be tempted, ( they say that he would not be perfect if he could) but also they told me that satan tempted jesus in the wilderness.. can anyone clarify their beliefs please.

i like to give them a reasoned argument when i talk to them, but have never noticed this conflict of ideas before..

Isnt it true that the Old Testament does not identify" Satan" as any one being ,Angel , God , Spirit being or otherwise ?

The personification of Satan as a fallen Angel is non existent in the Old Testament writings ,it was only introduced in the Christian Era of the New Testament.?

Isnt that correct ?

That the Jews ,Israelites ,Gods chosen people for four thousand years with Jehovah dealing with them with revelations prophets and being under his Theocracy with the Priesthood ,never informed them that Satan was a fallen Angel out to mislead them.

He kept this from them for four thousand years ?

It seems to contradict the Old Testament that a fallen Angel Satan tempted Jesus.

just a simple observation ,the wt used to say that their was an initial fullfilment of bible prophecy and a later fullfilment for our day and that they mirrowed each other.. do they still say much of the same thing ?.

the initial fullfilment of matt.24:34 took place in well under 50 years from when jesus gave this prophecy , a (one ) generation .. no overlapping of a generation occured then ,so none should occur in a later fullfilment of prophecy.. their is no room in scripture , in the first century of an overlapping generation of the initial fullfilment of jesus prophecy.. no such thing occured ..

this would seem harsh if it weren't for the fact that there is ample proof that their policies and teachings have caused much pain amongst the friends.

i think the decision to move to a more secluded place was probably started taking shape right after silentlambs march at headquarters in clear public view of their neighbors.

i mean how do you respectively live something like this down in front of all those neighbors close by?

that's why i think they are heading for the boonies because deep down they know that their public reputation will only go from bad to worse at this late date of the faithful & discreet slave of god con game.

The WTB&TS could learn a lot from the Catholic Church ,while in the past they have had an abysmal record in this regard Jehovahs Witnesses may have an even greater abysmal record if you made a ratio comparison comparing numbers.

just doing research and came across this.. i know this is old however.

here we have a worldly organisation distributing pamphlets and warning parents about child abuse.. last point in particular.

3) inform the child that what happened is against the law and that it is necessary to report it to the police so that it will not happen again.. pretty straight forward if you ask me.. watchtower were happy to use that in their magazine.

so according to 1 tim 1:11 jehovah is supposed to be a "happy god".. so when will we see "his people" produce a comedy video of some sort for the website?.

if you could propose an idea or storyline, what would it be?.
