My Mother reach out to me AGAIN!

about 3 weeks ago i created a thread due to my mom reaching out to me (we hadn't talked in over 2 years due to typical jw politics).

well, today she reached out again thought facebook messenger saying " i'm so sorry i hurt you my beautiful baby boy.

i'm hurting very much also.

jwleaks , I would like to see that letter of yours published in an Australian newspaper (the saturday paper ? if no other ) if at all possible .

But I suppose pigs might fly before that happens.

Thanks Barbara for posting this.Serena and her sister Venus life style are in complete contrast to what the religion they promote advocates for women .

I would like to see this letter published in an Australian paper also ,for when Serena plays The Australian Open Tennis Competition in early 2017.

If Serena was serious about her concern for women and equality she would speak out about the inequalitys that exist in the religion she promotes so as she doesnt come across as a hypocrite .

friday 16, december 2016. abc news: malcolm lee, 56, has been sentenced to three years, nine months jail for the attack on the woman, 80, at her home near lakes entrance in march.

during a home massage, organised as a gift by the victim's daughter, lee touched, kissed and digitally raped the woman.

he claimed he believed at the time it was consensual and she was enjoying it.

Could this strategy be used in other nations around the earth ? With any success?

What would be the pros and cons of employing such a strategy ?

I find this an interesting concept for a couple of reasons.

1. Here in Australia we seem to be going down the path of having one set of laws for mainstream Australians and another set of laws for indigenous Australians .

2. Also australia seems to be going down the path of giving into the Muslim community allowing them to practice Sharia law in their community .

All in the name of political correctness gone mad.

And the Jehovahs Witnesses being allowed to have their own Judicial Committees meting out punishment to their members outside of the law.

Just asking for your comments.

it look very possible that the borg could lose their charity status in both the uk and oz if this happens the jw will not have all the tax breaks for the buildings that they have now.and that the headquarters will have to start finding extra money.and as they have done so much cost cutting anyway these past years i think they will have to start selling kingdom halls off.

I can understand the UK Charity status being under threat, However where is their any evidence that the Charity status is under threat in Australia ?

Would you trust your Doctor if he got things wrong??

just thinking..... assume we had a family doctor that we had seen all our lives, perhaps he had been the doctor for your extended family too.

he is lovely man, very kind and honest hearted.. but if he had prescribed treatment or medication that was wrong, and had bad effects on you, then changed the medication to something else, then randomly changed it again etc, how would you feel?.

if you did some research into him, and found disturbing facts and things in his history that made you question his qualifications, how would you feel?

Mass JW exodus

maybe there will be a mass exodus from jws when thinking people read feb 2017 watchtower telling them the governing body stuff up, shouldnt expect correct/ perfect information and basically make up guff as they see fit.....ya reckon?.

Wishfull thinking I`m afraid that statement you quote from the WT will most likely go over the heads of the majority of witnesses and they wont get the sense of it.

I do not believe in an Almighty GOD of the Bible who intervenes in human affairs or any other GOD that is known to humans on this earth .

So in that sense I`m happy to define myself as an atheist .

However I do not dismiss the possibility that their are other life forms spiritual or otherwise in this universe .

My Son's Science Project "What Causes Leukemia"

i'm putting the below information on this forum first to get your input.

so my 9 year old leukemia survivor wants to do his science project searching for the cause of leukemia in children.

the data required to put together a semblance of a cause is vast to put it lightly.

It sounds like a great project for your son and you to embark on I wish you both success in doing this.

Many years ago my 14 year old nephew died from Leukemia and as a good faithful JW I tried to comfort my SIL with the resurrection hope .

It didnt go too well ,and thakfully we are in a good place these days.

I`m sorry I dont have any info to convey to you other than good luck.

2 words for truth in Russian, for wt writers too?

ny times article: "--- 2 words for truth in russian,--" pravda, the malleable truth, and istina, the unchangeable cosmic reality.

it looks like wt writers like that, or think like that.

wt is constantly changing the surface truth, but can not change the underlying reality, no matter how many groups they overlap.
