Isnt taking an oath on the Bible in a court of law,or a Governmental Royal Commission the same as swearing on the Bible ?

Jehovahs Witnesses are trained to be parasites on society and sometimes these parasites turn on their own gullible members and fleece them also.

mine was to some random guy in uniform i saw on the street about two years ago.

even as a jw i knew that we had a lot of freedoms here in the us that were hard earned.

it felt really good to finally be able to say in person to someone when i i did..

I have never thanked anyone in person for the sevice they perform in protecting this country Australia ,however I have always been thankful ,even when I was a JW for the service they have performed in protecting the freedoms that we all enjoy today.

I always had a problem as a witness how it was OK for jehovahs chosen people to engage in warfare up to a certain point in history and then it was not acceptable.

I was always under the belief that Jehovah God was the same yesterday as he is today and will be the same tomorrow.

Jehovah God doesnt change ------Then in other scriptures he does change -----?

The jehovahs Witnesses would not have had the freedom to preach this past 100+ years if everybody practiced what they preach and opted for conscientious objection.

If germany under Nazism and Japan under Imperialism had won the war ,the witnesses would not have had the freedom to preach as they have today..

They should be thanking the service men and women themselves..( Jehovah God didnt interfere )

6000 years of human existence ended ? what an opportune time for Jesus to begin his 1000 yeare reign . Nothing happened.

When that didnt eventuate in the next decade it was more likely to occur before the next Century in other words before or at the year 2000 ,expectations arose as they have done often times in the past .

So you would have to wonder why would anybody want to become a Jehovahs Witness with so many failures of prophecy they have.

Not to mention the ARC into Child Sexual Abuse that they have failed to address adequately and have over 1000 cases they failed to notify the respective authorities about..

Its all on record.

Told My Parents Yesterday That I Don't Want to Be a JW

i wasn't entirely sure what to expect when i made the decision to tell my parents how i really feel, but i was prepared for the worst, fortunately, it didn't come to that.

after i told them i didn't want to go to the meetings anymore it led to a long talk with them.

they made a number of irksome and woefully uninformed statements but at least they were not aggressive and have said that they won't force me to move out over this, though, i can tell they are hoping they can convince me to "accept the truth," as long as i still live with them.

Well it is a bonus that your parents wont disown you ,it gives you and them time to come to terms with your decision

.I think the thing we discussed which I find most pitiable is that they feel if God doesn't exist then our lives are completely meaningless, my father actually said that "If Jehovah doesn't exist one may as well shoot them self in the head."

Every human being since time began who has ever lived has also died and will continue to die and that includes all people who believe in a GOD as well as those who dont.

And the only people who believe otherwise are those who accept the ancient writings of humans of thousands of years ago who claim otherwise.

"If God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son" ,why is he so intent on killing Billions of people at Armageddon when all he has to do is speak out himself and not use some humans who have their own agendas. ?

Why cant people see that if GOD is who he claims to be ,he should be able to speak to his subjects without using a medium.( isnt that what spirit mediums do ? )

And not condemn Billions of people to death because they cant understand the confusing ever changing message of nu-lite -old-lite that Jehovahs Witnesses have preached these 100+ years.

Each creative day being only 7000 years long....Not to be confused with how old the Universe is

Genesis 1:1 The creation of the Universe. Millions of years ago.... Genesis 1:2 When God turns his attention to poulating the Earth with humans just over 6000 years ago ....according to JW theology

Do they still talk about humans only being on earth for just over 6000 years ? or is that another one of their beliefs that gets brushed under the carpet never to be spoken about again.

A JW explains Blood Fractions

i was looking around from some information on the wt's stance concerning the use of stem cells, and i came across this article on a defending jehovah's witnesses blog.. rather than informing the reader all that much about stem cells, the author diverts the conversation into a discussion of "blood fractions" (*note: the term "blood fractions" appears to be another one of those wt bloodspeak terms coined by the wt.

"blood components" or "blood products" are the terms used more frequently by the medical world.

"fractions" implies tiny amounts).

Doesnt the Bible say words to the effect that :

"blood is not to be stored and that it is to be poured out on the ground " ?

Doesnt that rule out collecting blood ,processing it in a laboratory into fractions ,then storing it again to be used at some later date by a Jehovahs Witness who refuses Blood products ?

Just asking.
