  For some reason I could not read the case mentioned ,

  However for family members suing the hospital staff who are responsible for looking after the patient and she dies because of rejecting doctors recomendations as to what treatment she should be receiving ,

  is simply pathetic.

  It just simply seems that they are wanting financial gain from the restrictions they themselves and the deceased placed on the medical profession and they didnt get the outcome they were hoping for.

  For doctors ,surgeons and medical staff assisting in operations involving Jehovahs Witnesses be aware that you may be sued if the patient dies regardless of your efforts to save them simply because they refuse your advice as to what is the best medical procedure that is available.

  Take it from one who DA`d ,dont do it just fade away by not going to meetings or associating with JW`s and whatever you do do not under any circumstances agree to a meeting with one elder or two ,or a judicial meeting ,always say you are handling it as a private matter between you and God ,and do not let them intimidate you.

  Remember : The power they have over is only because of the power you give them . ( So dont give them this power )

  Jesus Christ was anti-family

  strong family ties & family values did not matter to jesus:.

  - a person must hate his or her family and themselves in order to be jesus’ disciple (matthew 10:37; luke 14:26).

  - jesus will give a big reward to those who forsake their family, abandon their home, leave their family behind for him.

  Thanks deegee I was thinking something along those lines myself just recently .

  Like , what are the unchristian things Jesus promoted and taught or just approved of.?

  Such as slavery,

  The killing of all people men,women and children in a global flood ( whether it happened or not Jesus approved of it )

  Also the prophetic coming destruction of 99.9% of all humanity at Armageddon .

  And those scriptures you cite just show how unchristian Jesus was.

  Modern day Christianity just cherry picks what they want people to hear about Jesus teachings and keeping quiet about what they dont want them to hear.

  our enthusiasm for truth is not shared with our former brothers.

  they base their whole lives on a historical book yet won't look back 50 years to see origins of cult..

  Good point chook however that principle also applies to believers of any faith doesnt it ?

  Though your right about religions that differentiate from mainstream religions and come under the banner of Cult.

  Most Jw would take a bullet before renouncing faith

  Or refuse a Blood transfusion to save their own life or the life of their Children or a Parent.

  And apparently they also would suffer their children to Child sexual Abuse with a molester in their congregation and not reporting them to Police or Child protection Authorities so as not to bring reproach on Jehovahs name or his Organization ,the WTB&TS.

  Keeping the faith is their main priority regardless of the consequences to their own family. ( sadly)

  Some Good News About Me (Although Anthony Morris Will Be Furious)

  just wanted to share with you some good news i'm really excited about.

  i have been accepted for university to study psychology and counseling.

  my goal is to become a counselor and, in time, to specialize on treating those who have left high control relationships/groups like we all did.. it'll take a few years before im qualified but studying in university has been a dream of mine since i was 12, which was systematically dashed to pieces by watchtower.. .

  Did Jesus pre exist? Yes or no?

  when i first became a witness, i always found the teaching about jesus being the arch angel michael hard to swallow.

  i did however believe that jesus pre existed as a master worker alongside god (the first of his creation).. but now everything is brought into question having watched anthony buzzard explain why jesus could not have pre existed as it is impossible to pre exist yourself.

  also the fact that it all sounds contradictory to suggest, he was already alive millions of years before he was transferred to mary's womb to be born as a human - the son of man?.

  Christianity could never have spread so quickly in the first century given the impact he had made during his short life here on earth.

  Couldnt the same thing be said about Mohammed ? the founder of Islam ? hasnt his sayings spread so quickly in his short life so that his followers, if not equal christianity in numbers may even surpass them ? They both are well over 1 Billion followers world wide .

  And Mohammed came about 6 Centuries after Jesus Christ ,what does that tell you.

  i'm currently in a jehovah's witnesses household, which is very deep into the "truth".

  i woke up a few months ago, and i haven't told my parents yet.

  Welcome smiruk , dont jump in straight away trying to show your parents that you think the JW`s are wrong,they have been indoctrinated for more years than you have lived probably ,so dont think they are going to change by what you say.

  They would more likely dob you in to the Elders for looking at apostate websites.

  Take things slowly and gain more knowledge about the early history , teachings they once held to be true but dont believe now ,

  Their is so much information on this site about all subjects just use the search option at the right hand top of the page and type in a subject eg: the origin of the name jehovah.

  My awakening and concern

  good evening everyone, i go by issa.

  as many former ex-witnesses, i "woke up" from believing that the jw org is the "truth".

  this happened during this month thanks to information from jw-facts and youtube videos about ex-witnesses' experience in this org.

  Welcome Issa , I see you have only joined a few hours ago and you are already interacting with other posters ,thats great.

  You also say you have only woken up to the fact that the JW`s are not the truth , so dont rush things you have plenty of time to catch up on a lot of information on here and JW facts that you say you have looked at.

  Take things slowly at first and gain a lot more background info on the religion that I bet you didnt know about.

  They have a lot more failed prophecys apart from 1975 as an example

  I look forward to hearing more from you in the future

  The very fact that a great number of the children baptised in 2016 are just that, children ,the odds are that at least two thirds of them will walk away from the religion by the time they are in their mid twenties if not sooner.

  So it will take about another ten years before the numbers drop off more dramatically than it has now.
