What was it you did?In my case, I was born into the Cult and literally forced to join it. In Ray Franz's case, he ate lunch with someone who had voluntarily left the Cult. Obviously you know nothing moron. Roughly four out of five dubs have left over any ten year period. It's simple math and all you need are yearly WT stats to figure it out. Assuming NO one left your religion and no one ever died in your religion then the total number of dubs at the end of any year would be the total number of dubs from the end of the prior year plus those baptized, right? If NO one ever left voluntarily then the total number of dubs at the end of any year would be the same as I just mentioned, less the 80,000 or so the WTS says it disfellowships each year plus the statistical norm of about 1% of the total who pass away in death. Try that math out for three or four years and you'll see a whopping decrease in the total number than you expected when you guessed that "relatively few" left on their own.
If you're like most dubs, you'll be too lazy to do this. The facts are that roughly four out of ten dubs leave the Cult in any ten year period. That's 4% a year, or roughly 240,000 per year. Only 80,000 are disfellowshipped according to the society. Those who leave voluntarily outnumber those who are kicked out by 3 to 1.

For that assertion to have any value other than as toilet paper, you must prove that the organization is closest-to-what's-biblical. Most of us don't accept any claims without proof, especially extravagent ones like that. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Where is it?

by Englishman ina few months ago, our old chum rick started a thread on h20 about what would happen to some apostates after armageddon.. according to his reasoning, jw apostates, that is to say persons who had only turned against the wtbts and not against jehovah, these ones would survive the great battle and then become personal slaves to the goody two-shoes dubs who sailed through armageddon with first-class honours.
apostate duties would include the renovating of fine stately homes such as sandringham or balmoral, so that all of the very fine fellows in watchtowerland could relax in comfort from their pre-geddon labours, and enjoy being waited on hand and foot by people such as, er well, you tell me!.
so, i was just wondering, if rick is right in what he says, whom would i like to be a slave to?

I'm nearly certain Rick didn't say that, goofball that he is. He DID say that EVERYONE would have a shot at salvation in the New World/Order/Nazi Concentration Camp, but I don't think he said anything about apostates being slaves to dubs.
There WAS some braindead moron in witless.nuts who made the comment about having someone else do her freaking toilets, someone like a pagan who was resurrected.
Rick at least has always felt that there would eventually be a level playing field for all people towards eternal salvation. If God is to be perfectly fair, then I would have to agree with him on that one.

Can the WTS be "reformed" ?

the few i've spoken to have not been able to tell me what exactly they mean by reforming the wts.

i just want to say that its great, always nice to know that you're not alone in the fight.
i wish all current jws could be forced to sit and read through all these posts just once.....but thats dreaming, i guess.. it seems that from the psychological aspect the experience can be horrible.

Here is one study, although it has been criticized under scrutiny for being exagerated. Nonetheless, even if it is several hundred percent exagerated, the results are still disturbing.
