There are many excellent essays on the subject of man's fall and the ransom and the absurdity of it all. I know! I wrote some of them!

as soeone raised in the truth my whole life i am struggling with a basic doctrinal issue.
the issue has to do with universal sovreignty and the ransom sacrifice.
let me try to illustrate by way of analogy:.

Maximus,
: Part of my JW recovery tool kit is Mozart.
Anyone gifted enough to cause plants to thrive around his music can certainly do wonders for "more" sentient beings!
: Heard the Requiem at the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center. Ambrosia.
It depresses the heck out of me. Too bad he never finished it. Maybe it would have had a happy ending. Nah! His later stuff was very dark. I play his Fantasia in C minor. It is quite different from his early and middle-period stuff. More like Beethoven than Mozart. Beethoven and Mozart only met once, and even Beethoven was impressed. That speaks volumes about Wolfies genius.

Greetings Maximuus!
: I just read a medical journal article that postulates Wolfie's wife Constanze actually did him in unintentionally, with some bad pork. The author went through his diaries, and noted the composer's comments about the meat to be served. Tsk, tsk, Stanze.
Did you ever see the very sexually explicit letters and illustrations that Wolfie wrote to Stanzie when he was on the road? It is hilarious stuff. He would draw little pictures of her bare-breasted and make comments about her "stuff": his drawing of his hand pointed at one of her erect nipples, for example, with a school-boy joke about it! He was quite a card. I know that I would love that guy could/would I ever meet him. Absolute genius. He is not called the "Divine" Mozart for no good reason. He had all that I admire: an unrivaled genius for music, yet a crass and plebian attitude that must have pissed off everyone around him. Talent but a terrible businessman. Sigh. He and I have so much in common. Such people are rare and are treasures. In three hundred more years people will still be studying and playing his music and marvel at it. They will will study ancient biographies of him and snicker!
: Then again, maybe the Illuminati got to her because of Die Zauberflote, the Magic Flute, divulging all that secret stuff for all the world to see for hundreds of years. Hmmmm.
That was one of his sad experiences of having to "sell out" commercially because of his well-known, well-paid and notorious rival, A. Salieri. However, even Mozart's worst stuff is better than Salieri's best stuff. Poor Salieri. How he must have rued that a Mozart should emerge in his lifetime and in his area. Sad for him, but an unbelievably wonderful gift for several hundred years of people who lived after them both. Including me. I must play you some of my Mozart repertoire, Maximus. I'm very good at Mozart. I understand him. I'm a lot like him, but I cannot touch his genius, I can only try to extract some of it for others to hear.

ok ... i am ducking first ...... .
great news!.
i just visited the h2o forum and it has been upgraded with removal of.
Rick,
Good work, and I know for you it is a labor of your love. It always has been that way, even if I disagree about some of the stuff you do. May your board build up and contribute to your stated purpose for it.
You've got a good and fair man with your Forum Director, too. He and I know and care about each other. Well, at least I care about HIM!
Good luck! Er, "fortune."

: Yes Mozart was a Mason and he was murdered for revealing their secrets
Proof, please. I'm a classically trained pianist and I've read a number of well-respected biographies on Mozart. Your statement startles me given what I've studied. I've read rumors that Antonio Salieri poisoned him out of jealousy, that that he died of consumption (tuberculosis). Since he was only 39 when he died, it's easy to come up with lots of theories about how he died. Not one biography that I've read states anything that he said or did that would cause his Freemason brethren to murder him.
So, where's your evidence? By the way, I don't take chill-pills. I've been very nice lately, so that is the best I can do in the "chill-pill" area considering what I really can do when I see a bad argument or weak facts. This was not always the case as people who've known me for years will verify. I'm kinder and gentler now, believe-it-or-not. Yeah, it is kind of hard to believe, huh?

sports illustrated, in its june 25, 2001 issue on page 76, reports that jerry hairston of the baltimore orioles had been "baptized as a jehovah's witness" last july.. at times, according to the artcile, hairston's passionate play on the field, charactarized by end-over-flips of his bat after strikeouts and exasperated shrugs during arguments with umpires, gives other players the impression of cockiness on his part.
i'm a passionate person.".
the article mentions that after hairston slammed his bat to the ground after popping out on a roger clemens fastball, he got a long staredown from clemens.
With that prima donna attitude, all those temper tantrums and his flippant and arrogant way of dealing with the fact that he is basically being a jerkweed, he should make elder in two years. He could do it even sooner if he donates a lot of money to his God, the Watchtower Printing Corporation.
Farkel, who wonders how many millions Michael Jackson gave to the Watchtower Corp. before they shafted him, and whether he could deduct from his taxes his "fat man" outfits and phoney facial hair so he could sell Watchtower shit and not risk getting recognized.

: Youre on the right trak Farkel. If you really want to understand the early founding of the org you must look into Russell's involvement with Freemasonry.
IF I really want to understand the early founding of the org? How much do you know about me and what I know about the "early founding of the org?" I've read bunches of stuff about Russell and Freemasonry, the Illuminati, The Knights Templar, the New World Order, Trilateralism, and other nonsense. As for what I know about Russell, I doubt that most WTS officials know half of what I know about him, so with all due respect to you, please don't impugn ignorance on my part.
I said sk's quest was baloney. I still say it's baloney. Russell merely wanted to get a few Freemasons in his cult. There is not one shred of evidence that he was a Freemason, despite the fact that he used several of their symbols on his rag and on his headstone and despite the fact that he hinted that he was "one" of them.
Mozart was a Freemason fer crying out loud! I guess his music is demonized then, huh? You folks are barking up the wrong tree. Russell was most certainly a mystic, but I've seen no solid evidence he was a Freemason. If you really want to know about Russell then read all you can about his various lawsuits, particularly against the Brooklyn Eagle. Read his divorce transcript and find out that he was a very evil man who was every bit as greedy as his successor. Mental illness ran in his family. His father married his wife Maria's younger sister. Did you know that? Read the Zion's Watchtowers from 1904 through his death and you'll get a clear picture of the man. He was involved in so many lawsuits that even serious biographers are not sure they've tracked them all down. His helm was full of scandel and he was a lying scoundrel. Up until several years ago, I had always thought of Russell as a kind, benign fool. He was instead an arrogant self-centered, greedy narcisissitic bastard.
As I said to sk, "baloney." There are infinitely better leads to follow that this Freemasonry one.
Oh, I extend my hand to welcome you to this board! I mean that! I'm a jerk, but I'm no dummy!

okay everyone, ai cannot believe what has just happened to me.
here i type away publishing my jc series showing how untrained and at times incompetant men should not be sitting in judgment of their fellow jws, when i get a summons from the cook, county office to appear for jury duty in chicago.
[don't they understand that al cappone said that there are no gangsters in chicago?
: So, now, here is the problem. Instead of being on a JC as an untrained, incompetant, unqualified person to sit in judgment of fellow JWs, I am now going to be on a jury as an ordinary citizen, untrained (although I have a measure of professional experience in the judicial system) unqualified, incompetant person sitting in judgment of my fellow man, bethey a JW or other religion. Now, isn't that irony or what?
I don't see any problem. Tell them you are a former JW who was taught for years that God is going to kill 99.99% of the world's population, but before he does that he will melt people's eyes in their sockets while they are still standing and in general give a fantastic gore spectacle for people like you who just can't wait for that to all happen. Tell them that God needs all the help he can get with that task of his and you are his front-line soldier and assistant who wants to make his job easier when it comes. THAT is the reason you really cannot WAIT to sit on a jury.
You'll leave the place with boot marks on your butt and I doubt they'll ever call you back again.
And don't forget to say, "If they are charged with a crime, then they are guilty of that crime. Case closed."
I'm being facetious of course: jury duty is the most honorable contribution citizens can make to their fellow citizens in a Republic. That's why I've never done it.

no offense intended for the anointed ones on this board, but ive always compared such professed ones to martin jensen, who professed nothing for himself except that he wasnt good for much.. this iowa corn farmer became a jw in the 40s, was promptly divorced by his wife, and moved to the southern tip of texas, the end of the world.
by default he became the presiding overseer of the english unit, although he never gave a public talk.
there were many unsuccessful attempts over the years to replace him with a more suitable shepherd.
TMS,
First rate! Although I've never met Martin Jensen, I now feel like I knew him my entire life. You have a rare gift of expression via the written word, and I hope Martin's story will end up being immortalized on many Internet sites.
Doug Cornelius actually got away with what he said? I loved it! The society views all funerals as just another chance to get a captive audience to hear a sales pitch for their brand of salvation. To hell with whoever-it-was that is now dead, there's fresh meat to schmooz with Watchtowerism and how wonderful it all is in Watchtowerism! Anyone who would have the cajones to say what Cornelius did is my kind of guy!
Thank you.
