There are really TWO Watchtower Societies

being a male jehovah's witness during the viet nam war meant certain "issues" arose affecting a decision to respond to the military draft.i have told the story before.

but, i'd like go at it from another angle in view of the above mentioned new light about the fds fora different reason.it was first in 1967 i began to discover that there are two watchtower societies.let me explain why i say this and for what reasons.first of all, anybody standing in a kingdom hall or sitting in a seat at a vast international assembly saw people they would identify as all on the same page.

If alternative military service is so bad and wrong by the almighty Watchtower God "Jehovah", then why is it NOT bad if a judge says to do it, but it IS so bad and wrong if the military says to do it? You did hard time. I did soft time because my sentence came about a year or so after yours and times had changed. Almost two dozen years later "Jehovah" changed His mind and basically, said all that shit we went through was because of WTS bullshit. To put it bluntly, "Jehovah" said his one and only true spokesmen on earth were not only bullshitters but shameless liars. But it was far more serious for you and I than just mere bullshit. In the meantime, the WTS sold books. Lots of books. By the way (you already know this) for the sake of newer readers, when I questioned my mom why I had to sacrifice two long years of my young life for Freddie's insanity on alternative military service, she said, "well, maybe Jehovah was testing you." Yes. In case some people don't know or forgot, the U.S. Supreme Court only deals with cases within the purview of the jurisdiction of the Federal Government's powers allowed by the US Constitution. Any and all other cases are reserved to be appealed only to the highest Courts of each State.

It's clearly stated in the 10th amendment of the Bill of Rights. I doubt Candace's case would ever be able to reach the Federal level and if someone thinks it might, I would love to see evidence of the power of the Federal Government to intervene in a State's sovereignty in this matter.

Doubtful. It is nearly impossible that Candace will ever have to testify again. Her only stress will be in the waiting for this to be resolved. She already made it clear she doesn't care much about the money. She has already won because she has dragged the WTS into the sewer where they swim anyway.

It is only going to be emotionally draining for the WTS because ALL they care about...is the money.

Absolutely. I believe that "Religion is a Snare and a Racket" and they never actually said this but "Religions who are nothing more than fronts for buying and selling their never-ending supply of new books are an ever worse Snare and a Racket."

Religions that force people to buy and sell their books and then claim to be the only ones who speak for God are not just a "Snare and a Racket", they are consummate assholes.

i've noticed there seems to be a bitterness, by some, that includes "god" in the equation, when discussing the borg and their policies, the governing body, elders actions, etc.

do the borg's transgressions originate with god, or does he feel the same disgust as we do?

i was contemplating this verse this morning... what did james mean by "works"?

and it hit me like a bolt of lightning.. now, wts would have us believe these "works" are preaching and meetings.

Where in the Bible can it be deduced that "works" equals selling books and recruiting new book selling people and not much of anything else except going to training sessions every week where you are taught to sell books more effectively?

What I don't get (and maybe someone can help me out here), is that the ancient Israelites (and their supposed God) had SUCH a reverence for blood in DEAD things, but had NO reverence for spilling the blood from LIVING humans. They were most intent on wiping out and spilling the blood from entire cultures who lived and worked on the land for generations before they came to pillage and conquer.
