It wasn't just Smurfs who were demonized. Supposedly a Cabbage Patch Doll came to life, ripped off a little girl's head and threw it out the window. I was scared of my CPD for quite awhile after that.

What is your strangest "supernatural" JW story?
by donny ini had just became a witness and a guy i worked with, who was also a jw, told me a story that actually made me laugh and i think it upset him a bit.
the storys were almost always in the third person.
it went as follows.. this brothers wife and him were sitting at the kingdom hall on the end seats of the row next to the back of the room.

Hey, have any apostates done this?
by Lady Zombie ini'm almost positive that someone(s) have done this, but since jws like to leave tracts in doors, waiting room tables, as tips .
man, i'd sure like to leave those kind of tracts all over the place!.
-
TinyDancer124
A little OT, but in my entire time in the "religion," I never knew anyone who left a tract as a tip. I was shocked to hear that people actually do that!

JW's and weddings
by nana1957 ini am sure this has been discussed before, would appreciate anything on this.
i was always under the assumption that a jw was not allowed to be an attendant in a 'worldly' wedding.
meaning that you would not be able to be a bridesmaid or groomsman if you were baptized.

Yeah, really must be up the elders. I didn't have my wedding at the kingdom hall either and no one even batted an eye. In fact, most people told us what a great idea it was to have our wedding and reception in the same facility.

So they are phone witnessing now
by MrsBee inthe jw's just called my job.
my boss answered the phone and she said that they were like, id like to share a scripture with you, read the scripture and was like now if you grab your bible, and she was like i dont have a bible and they said well, when someone comes by for a talk, and she was like, you cannot come here, this is a place of business.. .
lmao.

We used to phone witness on a regular basis. You got a phone "territory" from the KH. It had numbers and addresses on it. If there was no number listed, you would write a letter to the address. I preferred witnessing that way, because I hated being seen in public going door-to-door. We never called any businesses though.

I've had such a crap 2 days.
by LouBelle ini know it's also got to do with the fact that i'm still sick - i'm so frustrated!
work is getting on my nerves - i'm the one that has to go the extra mile, i'm the one that has to chase up everyone - worry about the deadlines - can't take days off to actually get better.
i have staff members that ask if they can take leave on deadline (just a day) the same ones ask - we're on deadline for goodness sake.
