well...i was a good girl and took my 8 yr old son to the memorial last night.
his jw dad even called twice to make sure i was taking him, that's only because he wanted to use that as an excuse to come get him, but sorry...he was with me!!
anyway...there was no way i was going to go to my old hall, so i actually went to a hall that isn't too far from where i live.

If you know Norma Harper, Joel and Kay Harper, or John, Ginger, and Kelley Anglin then you know some of my relatives. They have all lived in the Hickory area for many years. My uncle Rex Harper (Norma's husband) died of cancer a few years back.

OK this has already been confirmed but I remember this song too. We kids would all stifle laughter like kids do. It was embarrassing really. Was this one already mentioned: This is Jehovah's Day! and i just am amazed i think or i don't know...i feel something that i can't quite put my finger on.
i was raised in 'the truth' as many here were.
I understand the gist of what you are saying. It makes you wonder who you can really "trust" when you look around you in the kingdom hall. After being away from it for a year I wonder in amazement how some who I think are smart, kind, genuine people can really believe all of it. Maybe they don't... I'll never know because the WTS has succeeded in making everyone AFRAID of saying how they really feel.

so i went last night and it really wasn't that bad.
in fact, i felt comfortable.
i got the usual greetings, hugs, and one of the elders almost came to tears when he saw me.. there were also the "same-old" "same-olds" who look right through you and never say a word to you.

the funniest head-bobbing i've ever seen- and at the most important commeration there is!
what made it ridiculous is that the speaker wore glasses that magnified the endless bobbing of his eyes, as he fought valiantly to keep from bobbing his head too much, as he read his little speech written by hq, as a good parrot would...the same stupid statements- "questions you may ask", "we do well to", "but, wait!
", "question you may ask", etc.
