I like paying more taxes so that we all get better health care than you do.

"One of" Jehovah's Witnesses
by NeonMadman inany thoughts on that particular phrasing?
personally, i think the wts uses it as another form of mind control.
by calling the individual "one of jehovah's witnesses," it lends a generic feel to the wording.

Native English speaker here. Another way of being a more "correct" drone, getting the lingo, the jargon correct. A lot of the sense of belonging is the shared syntax and vocabulary.

Flouride and Chlorine in our drinking water is poisoning us to death?
by Witness 007 inamerican dental association now reccomends due to health problems children under 12 not drink tap water with flouride!!!!
even though since the 1950's we were told flouride only helps "young teeth.
" it is chemical waste made from smoke staks while chlorine was a chemical weapon which was found also to clean water.

Is "flouride" an American spelling, or are you so well-informed on this topic that you can't spell one of the main terms?

Can you get The Daily Mail (hysterical UK misogynist right wing tabloid rag) where you live? They are on a mission to classify all non-living things into "things that cause cancer" and "things that cure cancer". Sometimes they put the same things in both lists. Maybe she has been reading it online......

I Have A New Grandson But He's Very Sick :(
by minimus inhe was born yesterday with many complications including breathing problems, possible lung underdevelpment, anemia and body temperature issues.
the poor little guy was hooked up to a breathing tube and tons of monitors.
because the hospitals couldn't handle some of the problems, they sent him and my daughter to the best hospital in boston last night.

Reniaa has been drenched with attention on this board. I'd be amazed if she can give up the buzz of so many people reacting and responding to her every comment.
You can't control what any other poster says, or how they say it, or what they believe, or their motives.
You can control your own reaction.
Welcome to the board, highdose, I hope you find some comfort here.

I am glad you like it Ziddina, but I can't take the credit. It's one of my favorite tracks by Bradford rockers Terrorvision.

I think that the deaths of Henry Allingham and Harry Patch marks a milestone in our history. I left the JWs before the first "generation" teaching change. When I was a little girl, the end had to be close because the generation old enough to understand events in 1914 were getting so old. The End was going to come before I started school.
My son starts school next year.

I have been posting for nearly 8 years. I don't view the board very often, and post only very occasionally when I find something I think will be of interest or relevant to the board. From the response to my posts, I am under no illusion that I am appreciated, so I tend to view and post less and less.
I have had the privilege of meeting and knowing some lovely people through this board, and also meeting another escapee from my old congregation, so I am glad of my time here.
