by BR25 ini wanted to know everyones opinion on him losing his show and his comments.. first of all i do think his comments warrant the cancellation of his show, but it should have never got that far.
when you are talking with family it should never leave the house.
it should stay behind closed doors.

I dont think he has racial hatred, everybody does it behind closed doors when they dont like somebody. So is everyone rascist then?

When I dont like how some people act in my family or in public I use some pretty harsh words myself. I love black people and I got black people in family, but I got in an altercation with a black guy at work one time, and I'll admit I dropped the N-bomb, but it was when I got home and I was explaining it to my wife. I was pissed at the time, but I said those things in the privacy of my home. Im not a rascist, I was just mad at the guy and 99% of americans say things behind closed doors while there angry that shouldnt go public.
I just dont like the fact that he is being called rascist. I think he likes black people he just didnt like how his sons girlfriend conducts herself so he used harsh words. Everybody does that. When you dont like someone it is what you do. I do it myself, and I have much respect for the black race.
I hate it when these things happen. It wasnt like don Imus who did it on the air waves. He did it on a private telephone, and thats where it should have stayed. If he ever has a show again I will still watch it, because he didnt do anything different than anyone else does privately, he just got sold out.

Martin Luther King JR. The 3rd
by BR25 ini wanted to start a topic on this man because i know there is alot of bad things said about sharperton and jackson on this site and i am not a big fan either, but i do like martin luther king jr the 3rd.. with shaperton and jackson i do believe they do good for people from time to time, but i also think they cause hurt race relations quite a bit, and cause racial diverstiy, but i have heard jr. the 3rd talk on a few occasions and he is a humble guy and i believe he is good for race relations.. 1. he never makes things worse than what they are.. 2. he concentrates on subjects as better education for african american students in area where there is not much funding, and cleans up communities and sets up foundations for communities that need help.. 3. he talked about his foundations on a sports show one time, and he mentioned quite a few white athletes who helps him with these foundations, and i tell you why this is important to me.
it is not just because i am white, but also because if there is anyone who has an excuse to be rascist its this man because of all his family went through especially his dad.
instead of being a rascist though he tries to improve race relations and includes white people in what he tries to accomplish.

yeh there is only one, but at least his son carries on his positive way of doing things. It would be nice if he put himself out there more and eventually take over the sharperton and jackson era.

1. He never makes things worse than what they are.
2. He concentrates on subjects as better education for African American students in area where there is not much funding, and cleans up communities and sets up foundations for communities that need help.
3. He talked about his foundations on a sports show one time, and he mentioned quite a few white athletes who helps him with these foundations, and I tell you why this is important to me. Instead of being a rascist though he tries to improve race relations and includes white people in what he tries to accomplish. There are a lot of obstacles that young black urban youths face sometimes and just because you try to improve areas and communities doesnt mean you just have to include the black race in what you are trying to do as sharperton and jackson do, but you can also include other races as well. The more the support you can get the better and also makes race relations better, and that is why I think Jr the 3rd is a great leader.
Also I had another post on here and I am sorry I came across a little racy, I just wish it didnt show up in the sports world, because it is a pastime where you are supposed to get away form all the problems.

I didnt mean to cause such a racial spark. I guess I just tied oj into the whole sports thing. I hear race related topics in sports quite often.
As far as my understandment. I do believe that in inner cities as far as education, jobs, communities, that things need to improve. Their are alot of intelligent african americans who might be lacking in areas of being able to get a good education due to lack of funding and no help. I understand more problems on more of a local level.
My problem is just on the sports level. I dont believe it is needed to bring up race all the time when their is a low amount of blacks in a certain position or sport, because their is probably more black athletes in the 3 big american sports ( basketball, football, and baseball) combined than any other race. Mcnabb stated that black qbs take a little more scrunity, and I will agree with that to some degree, but Im a white guy and the qb position is one of the few positions that a white guy have any chance of being in the spotlight. You cant get compared in the other positions because their is no whites. Im not saying that is a bad thing though I was using that for conversation.
Once again on the local level I can understand where people coming form I just wish wasnt so widely viewed on the sports level. Just for the record my favorite sports star is Lebron James.

I know blacks have been through more than I can imagine, but I am a young guy and of the new generation and dont understand why every time something deals with a black person it always has to a black issue. I just dont understand.
I was just watching sportscenter again between posts and they brought the black quarterback issue. There is currently 6 black quarterbacks. But look at the other positions. I cant think of very many white running backs, receivers, and so forth, so why are these things made an issue? Can you please answer this for me.
And what about basketball. I love basketball and it is mostly black athletes, but I dont I have a problem with it.

His book should have been called If I did it, it doesnt matter. I have alot of black friends, and I try not to be a rascist, but when are things going to change? When blacks have complete control of everything?
Michael Vick, Carmelo Anthony, and other black athletes have been in trouble this year. I happen to like these 2 guys but the race card got brought out both times. PEOPLE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THE REASON WHY THE MEDIA ATTACKS THESE PEOPLE IS NOT BECAUSE OF THEIR COLOR, BUT BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY DID, HOW THEY DID IT, AND MAINLY THEIR POPULARITY.... If Michael Vick was a guy of the bench on special teams it would not have stayed on the news that long because people would lose interest, but do to the fact he was extremely popular the media wouldnt drop it, not because of his color.
I was watching espn yesterday and they was talking about how African American quarterbacks have slipped a little bit, and that this was a concern. WHY??? African Americans already are the best running backs, receivers, returners. Cant there be a position thats whites can be good at besides the offensive line?
Also they have mentioned how the number of blacks in baseball is a concern. So should whites be concerned about basketball. Im so sick of sports lately
