I Pondered God's Existence Today, and
by journey-on inponder this scenario:.
an alien "scientist" totally unfamiliar with the human and its anatomy comes to earth and sees a human sleeping.
it sees no other humans around, so has no frame of reference to evaluate this creature nor understand what it is doing.. the alien slices into the mans skull and pulls out the brain.

So we're self aware, and concious. The fact that we will die is what should be the important thing here. It is for me because i think "im so insignificant" like a speck of dust in my house on my street in my part of the world on this planet in the Milky Way Galaxy.........and ......all those other gazillion galaxies out there IF they were part of a design of the Eternal One should speak volumes as to why he should stop by and say hello. ...But wait maybe he is not the kind of God we imagine. Maybe he cant talk english ...maybe he is a God in the abstract ..maybe he is only a designer god likes to be an architect but not to good on the talking part..leaves that to us. We re all going to die. That the part that sucks. The worse part that sucks is that maybe in another galaxy theres a planet with beings on it that dont die cuz their designer got it wright...

First of all The Society has learned from this. Now you can reap the benefits of the learning curve Jehovahs org has come to appreciate.So the answer is of course you cant join another religion to avail yourself of their library. In the case of the Society they made the mistake of associating too closely not with a religion but a "status" that permitted them to enjoy publications not easily available otherwise. It would be not be the course of wisdom to join a church that you already know is false. "Get out of her my people" is what the Word admonishes true Christians. Probably you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah. ...or not....

I saw my brother at my grandmothers funeral...he saw me and said "your in the will if thats what your worried about"....i felt like bodyslamming him. The idea had not entered my mind until he brought it up Real Jerk. He was made executor of my parents will ...I was told by my mother if i had of been in the truth it would have been me but since im df'd ....anyways yes I think lots of the same in all families...

It's hilarious how the Dawkins attacks religion for being absolutist and forcing conformity when the Dawkins itself despises anyone who doesn't share it's point of view
In my opinion...if there is such a thing as righteous indignation then thats what this is. Call it "getting pissed off" at all the nonsense and all the Bullshit done in the name of religion. From holy wars to magical water that is supposed to cure your disease. I see nothing wrong with with Mr Dawkins expressing anger when there is no aquiecing (sp)? to the athiestic point of view because until God himself takes the podium Science is doing all the talking right now. Science had to catch up to God..now God should catch up to Science. When someone displays the charachteristics that show they are unwilling to to be corrected (unlike science) then this makes Mr Dawkins and those like him feel that they are wasting their breath. Fortunately they have my vote for getting pissed off at Religion instead of laughing at Religion from inside private rooms. Mr Dawkins Hip Hip Horay!

Zeitgeist - anyone for a discussion?

the documentary is in 3 parts.
part one deals with the pagan mythological origins of bible myths, part 2 is about 9/11 and supports the theory that the towers were demolitioned and part 3 deals with the federal reserve agressive take over in the 1920s by international bankers.

We had a JW at the door today...how I handled it..
by megsmomma inmy first instinct was to tell him to go away and my husband was going to answer the door and i said, just tell him we are disfellowshipped.
(i am da'd....he hasn't ever been, but, he is "guilty by association" and conciders himself da'd too...).
so, it is one older man and he is handing out the "follow the christ" convention invitation.
