Any advanced civilization must grow in energy consumption faster than the frequency of life-threatening catastrophes (e.g. meteor impacts, ice ages, supernovas, etc.). If they grow any slower, they are doomed to extinction Do you think there is any chance that these forces or laws, for lack of a better term, were put in place by an undefineable or yet to be revealed intelligence? Also.. Would a what a civilization a millions years ahead of ours will look like?

As a result, local government offices posted a large number of slogans, including “Whoever burns the mountains goes to prison.” In the administration of birth control in recent years, there have been even scarier slogans such as, “If one person violates the law, the whole village will be sterilized,” “Rather another tomb than another baby,” or, “If he did not have a vasectomy as he should, his house will be torn down; if she did not have an abortion as she should, her cows and rice fields will be confiscated.” There were more slogans that violate human rights and the Constitution, such as “You will sleep in prison tomorrow if you don’t pay taxes today
A slogan is basically a way of advertising, but in a more straightforward and repetitive manner. Hence, the Chinese government often uses slogans to promote political ideas, beliefs and positions. Political slogans can also be viewed as words the government speaks to its people.
The most effective weapon the CCP uses to maintain its tyrannical rule is its system of control. In a well-organized fashion, the CCP imposes a mentality of obedience on every one of its citizens
Whether the Party contradicts itself or constantly changes policies doesn’t matter, so long as it can systematically organize a way to deprive people of their naturally endowed human rights. The government’s tentacles are omnipresent. Whether it is in rural or urban areas, citizens are governed by the so-called street or township committees. Until recently, getting married or divorced, and having a child all needed the approval of these committees. The Party’s ideology, way of thinking, organizations, social structure, propaganda mechanisms and administrative systems serve only its dictatorial purposes. The Party, through the systems of government, strives to control every individual’s thoughts and actions.
There is a saying that, “Party policy is like the moon, it changes every 15 days.” No matter how often the Party changes its policies, everyone in the nation needs to follow them closely. When you are used as a means of attacking others, you need to thank the Party for appreciating your strength; when you are hurt, you have to thank the CCP for “teaching you a lesson”; when you are wrongfully discriminated against and the CCP later gives you redress, you have to thank the CCP for being generous, open-minded and able to correct its mistake! -

Women being in subjection...a sore subject
by milligal ini was raised jw and of course the whole theory that a man is the head and the woman must respect her husband and be in subjection to his authority was ingrained in me from a young age.
my mother, (oddly enough) chose the jw religion, dragged my father in kicking and screaming (he later served as an elder for 17 years) and she complained constantly about men being in control and her pains as a woman in subjection.
now, i already have a good idea about my mother's problems.

every home has a leader. Every home has a mother or father who dont share info with the rest of the family. Every community has leaders. Every community has leaders who dont share information with the rest of the comminity. Every city has leaders. Every city has councilors who dont always share info with the rest of the council. Every state and province have leaders. Every state and province have politicians who dont share info with the rest of their constituents, lawmakers, ect..
Having said that it would stand to reason Big Business ,...Oil,....Bankers....arent all "in on it" but if there is some kind of conspiracy No One at the Top will open his mouth. They are not among the middle class, the poor or regular folk ..they are among the elite. ....
I have heard in the past that globalism is basically - Reducing the population of the earth.... Eliminate the need to provide resources to mass amounts of ppl and eliminate borders and eventually make one world government.
How the Hell can this happen? Even if the top world Bankers who control the worlds money can control events like wars , eventually anything that effects ppl will come down to voting in Congress or Parliament. The vast majority of politicians arent about to kill their own are they?

he cited u. s. government data showing that while annual chinese demand for petroleum increased 920 million barrels over the past five years, demand from speculators has moved up 848 million barrels over the same period.
