  Explanation for the generation in Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30 and Luke 21:32

  i see quite a bit of inquiry about the generation in matthew 24:34, mark 13:30 and luke 21:32. in every scripture in the gospels, the term generation is referring to a wicked generation except for matthew 24:34, mark 13:30 and luke 21:32. .

  then as an answer to him some of the scribes and pharisees said: teacher, we want to see a sign from you.

  in reply he said to them: a wicked and adulterous generation keeps on seeking for a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of jonah the prophet.

  i'm "libelle," i'm a pagan married to a man who's now a jw.

  he was not this way when our relationship first started.

  Hi Libelle....just a few thoughts:

  you are in a woeful situation. Does your husband think you are, in the end, an athiest? Since your relgion is an "earth" based religion he might see it that way. I think its intresting. Have you ever attended meetings with him? If so, then you would have heard the "Israelites being cautioned against hanging out with pagan nations". Your man, may have shivers run up his spine when he hears this. IF theres 1 thing Jehovahs Witnesses "hate" more,or at least the same as apostates and homosexuals, its athiests and pagans. On the other hand you do have something in common. The "you reap what you sow" outlook on things.But karma isnt going to save your marriage when the magazines and witness indoctrination overpower reason.

  I think, if he left before, for good reasons, he can leave again for better reasons. If your husband is easy to talk to and listens i think you have a chance.If he doesnt care and has the "my relgion right or wrong" mentality then imo all is lost. Its like living with a stranger.

  mark zuckerberg says that the philosophy of facebook is that people only have one identity.

  i think then it's fair to say he couldn't have had jws leading a double life in mind.. i was careful not to add any jws to my page, so i thought i should not have any problems.

  i did however add friends and family, including family members who are former witnesses and some who are related to current witnesses.

  My brother, an elder, Ill call him jackass, viewed my FB page and noticed something posted anti JW. He told me parents. That started a whole huge ball of bs.All cuz FB private settings were messed up.....

  Top 5 Flawed Teachings

  this is for all of you out there who post wells of information on the doctrines of jw's.

  let's say you had to present your top 5 arguments for why jw's are not the true religion, which five would you choose?

  i'd like to hear all of your thoughts.

  1. The FACT that a 1900 yr old slave class was on hand when russell came on the scene. Easy to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt with ABSOLUTELY no comeback. No organization is needed or provable with this reasoning.

  2.Blatant teachings that have changed back and forth over 80 yrs of time...very easy to prove with only the brightest and dumbest JWs insisting the Jeh is using imperfect men so its ok.

  3.THE distance between the rank and file and those in authority. For a group that teaches honesty there is a HUGE gap existing between those in the KHalls and those in Brooklyn begining with : The governing body ; NOT open to discuss anything with any rank and file'er...The governing body has NEVER existed and is made to appear to be in direct contact with Jesus. That they are spirit directed can be shown to be a pile of bullshit.

  4.Being a prophet. For example 1975 was a catastophe for the JW authority at the time. Published statements about this period are brushed under the table and unknown to the rank and file...as are those regarding previous dates and the history of the organization.

  5. Armageddon: This teaching basically says, for example, that while doctors are performing life saving operations around the world on infants in countless hospitals God , Jesus, and the myriads of angels are going to Kill them all because they havent converted.

  A lot more can be said of course but I usually use any of these If it comes up....

  The fundamental flaw with the WTBTS as "God's Organization"?

  there are countless issues that people have with the society and which together have led to many people realizing that it is not what it claims and pretends to be.

  these include things like the secret un affiliation, contradictory and hypocritical stances, (malawi vs mexico vs un/ngo), the ever changing blood policy and ever changing doctrine, failed predictions for armageddon etc, etc, etc.. but what is the consensus about what the fundamental flaw is?.

  what i mean is, many jw's hear about these various issues and manage to make endless excuses for them, even though this involves gross hypocrisy and excusing the society for things they would never excuse in other religions and which the society itself has ruthless condemned other religions for over almost 100 years.

  I think you hit the nail on the head. I cannot begin to put into words the disappointment i felt when i could not come up with excuses for the FDS class' authority being called into question. It was one thing to have the bible only but it was another to present the magazines from the slave as coming from JEH himself. Thats what i thought I was doing. Cooperation with the Slave class is the lynch pin to salvation. Take away the lynch pin and my faith was DEAD.

  This is I believe THE SMOKING GUN in my opinion: “Now that the long-expected Kingdom had become an established reality in heaven surely its growing interests would not be left in the hands of a novice organization of spiritual babes. And that proved to be true. It was the 1900-year-old ‘faithful and discreet slave,’ the old Christian congregation,that was entrusted with this precious Kingdom service.”

  How anyone can read and understand that a 1800 or 1900 yr old slave class existed when Russell finally came on the scene is BEYOND me. I therefore try to tie this in anytime i can as there is NO Jehovahs Witness that can concoct a brave excuse for this BLATANT dishonesty.

  The paradise, universal sovereignty, the ransom, living forever, and everything else , to me, seem to hang on the "WHO" instead of the "what". JWs that come to the door represent the organization NOT Jehovah. They dont even have a relationship with Jesus until the ANNOINTED WITH Jesus purify them during the 1000 yrs.
